These are my first blue tooth ear bud/headphones. I am low tech and only of average music knowledge. I walk and I do not do heavy work outs. Occasionally I run. I was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality as well as the ability to easily pair with my iPhone. I like the way these ear buds make a noise confirming that I've held the "next song" button, which is the volume up button otherewise, long enough to move to the next song. My Bose and Apple ear buds just make me guess until I hear the results if I am correct. If you have large fingers you might have a problem hitting the controls on one of the ear buds precisely enough to get it to do what you want to do. I do not have an issue myself, as a guy with average fingers. The Bluetooth connection stayed up without interference no matter how I turned my head or where I put my iPhone. When I run they bounce up and down a bit in my ear but they do not fall out. I like these a lot.

Overall the sound is good! Bass is way too boosted not in a good way sounds a bit artificial. It’s like diet soda still taste sweet... you just know it isn’t sugar. Decent volume, plenty loud for in ear headphone that is paired with great noise isolation. Battery life is good! Things that bug me with this set besides over boosted bass. One, headphones don’t like to stay in my ears. Had to readjust the tips and supplied wings 3 times, still isn’t great fit. Two, microphone for calls just plain awful. Three, there is a low hiss when connected to audio source, that can also be heard when music is playing at low volumes. Four, no cable management (clip) and cable itself transfers lots of noise when rubbed agains clothing.

Sony does make good quality headphones for a good reasonable price. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was mainly because it lacks in bass, when clearly it’s labeled extra bass. The other models sound better than these, and their less expensive. Sony - WI-XB400 sound way better, but I would recommend both pairs.

I just returned the JBL wireless headphones because they were too low in volume. I bought these, which is half the price of the JBL headphones and they are excellent in volume and bass. Just have to see how well they hold up.

It sounds great, it’s affordable but it does not fit well. You will end up with ear pain if you use it for few hours. The extra piece that’s suppose to go in your ear is super annoying. I guess when you buy a cheaper product you pay in other ways. In my case with ear pain lol.

I loved these headphones. They were super comfortable, had a pretty good sound and they didn’t fall out. Sadly though I had to say goodbye to them a few minutes ago from when i’m writing this, because my cat ate the ear pieces. I am though definetely gonna buy them again when I get my paycheck

This earphone produces some punching BASS provided your equalizer is setup to enhance music from your audio player. I listened it from PowerAmp. I am pleased with the BASS that I was looking for. Even though its not a true wireless, but still you can roam around without needing to carry your mobile device. Only complaint is the soreness you start feeling on your ear after wore it for couple of hours as it feels little bulky.

I got them for a lower price than stated here, I loved them for the price I paid. I am satisfied with the sound quality and haven't had any problems with mic during calls as stated in most reviews. They were a little uncomfortable when I first started using them but as soon as I changed the buds to a suitable size it became much more comfortable.

I bought these for when I go to the gym and/or run. In the gym, they work perfectly. They stay out of my way, and they do not come out. When running, they are a little different. Every once in a while, one of the ear buds starts to loosen. The combination of sweat and movement prompts me to have to adjust these. When you are in the middle of a run, it can be annoying. But its not constant, just every once in a while. Overall, sound is great and helps drown out my surroundings.

Great price + performance even vs. Klipsch

I had previously bought Klipsch R6 BT headsets. Unfortunately they were not sweatproof (nobody was making at the time) and Klipsch decided they weren't going to honor the warranty because I bought on Amazon (claiming the two sets were bought from non-Klipsch associated outlets). Amazon actually refunded money given that Klipsch welched on their warranty. At any rate - the R6 BT had a frequency response range from 10 Hz to 20 kHz - great on the low-end and crisp response. The Jaybird and Fitbit boast ranges around 20 Hz to 20 kHz - not low enough for real bass or for the price-tag of premium headphones in my opinion. These boast a range from 4/5 hz to 22 kHz and I believe it. The low end is amazing for in-ear bluetooth headphones. I do think the performance is a bit sloppier in sound quality to the Klipsch (have not tried Jaybird or Fitbit personally) but for the price they are fantastic. Would recommend!

    Great sound but bulky

I love the way these sound! I also have the Apple wireless and these Sony’s are much better sounding with a wider stereo field and definitely more bass. For me, they are excellent for classical music as I feel that many classical recordings are mixed with too little bass. Note that songs which are already bass heavy will be even more bass heavy with these earbuds. That is the whole point of these phones. If you are playing songs through iTunes there is an EQ app (about $3) so you can adjust the bass level (and all other frequencies) to your preferences. I use this app to sometimes bring down the bass using the Sony‘s and to bring up the bass using the Apple phones. Best of both words. You can save the settings you like as presets. The only downside to the Sony’s is that they are bulky in your ear and can be a bit difficult to keep in. I have had no problems syncing or using them with the iPhone. Also, no problems with any of the buttons some complain about. On the flip side, the Apple earbuds are so convenient and small that I can even lay in bed with my ear against the pillow and listen to music late at night. You can’t really do that with the Sony’s but for audio quality, the Sony’s rule.

SPECTACULAR sound for a small price

I have bought tons of earbuds over the years including the expensive brands like Beats and Bose. These earbuds, by far, have the best sound. I was absolutely stunned! The tricky part is getting them into your ears correctly. Once they're in snug, they stay put even during rigorous exercise like sprinting. I absolutely love them and will be purchasing a backup pair.

Honestly these are by far the best earbuds I've owned. I have a pair of beats and they are very uncomfortable to wear because I wear glasses, plus they hurt my ears from the ear clips. These stay in my ears even when I'm running on the treadmill, and very comfortable. I have recommended these to my workout buddies and they both have bought their own and are loving the earbuds.
