This speaker puts out great sound and bass! It has the function to pair up to 5 speakers via Bluetooth. There is also a function that allows the speaker to adjust its sound output by how it sits (vertically or horizontally) Rather you are looking for a speaker for a desktop computer, extra sound for a tv, or even for parties, get this badass speaker! The pictures don’t do it justice.

I reviewed this item b4 purchasing and it happened to be on sale...so I had the option of picking this one (with cord) or the other one (cordless). I chose this one because of the Extra Bass option and we are completely satisfied so far with its performance! The sound is crisp and the bass hits deep WITHOUT the Extra Bass button on yet! It's fun cleaning the house now that I can listen to music from my phone through the speaker via bluetooth. The lights are so cool and fun, they just add to the party! We plan on hooking up microphones to it for karaoke!!! PARTAYYY!!

Bought 2 and paired in stereo for my home theater. Sound is killer and can use for parties. No amp or subwoofer required. No cables. Could not have made a better choice.

Purchased this speaker system on the sale associate's recommendation to used with my projector for the Game of Thrones season finale. I was admittedly skeptical, and even thought about just returning it once the finale was over. But dang, I fell in love with this thing more than I thought. You can stand it up or lay it on its side, bluetooth compatible for a quick connection to phones for party tunes, wired connections to use with my projector, and a handle for easy carrying inside and out.

At a $200 price point this is exactly what should be expected. As an in home Bluetooth speaker that delivers the base it meets my needs perfectly. Using a converter I can have it hooked up to my TV and get some extra punch when watching movies that have a big audio output experience or run streaming music when doing tasks around the home. When moved into my home gym it really delivers excellent punch to get me motivated. All in all... for the price point and delivering whats expected, it was a great purchase.

I bought this speaker to use in my newly built patio and this speaker bangs. Best option for the price and then some. I really love the fact that I was able to change the color of the LED lights to match the color of my cushions. So far I've used it about 5 nights and I can't wait for more nights to come. Overall great product I strongly recommend it !!!.....

I bought two speakers and they are awesome. Quality sound is great and I can connect them to each other without a cable. That the best feature only connect to the wall and bluethooth and you are good to go. No cables around Great buy.

This guy has a lil man complex and is not afraid to voice it! Boom boom is all you hear! And the light show well those I put on to brag just a bit!

Our purchase of this unit is one of our best purchases of a Bluetooth speaker .... it's livins the room up and with the song pal app the speaker has added life .... the sound is awesome....

only complaint I have is the songpal app I think it needs to be easier to use. the speakers are nice and have alot of bass to them. want to get a second pair

This is a crazy little beast I love it the bass is correct high ends are nicer and clear midrange is perfect I bought two so far and will get another

This is a great sounding speaker with good bass response. The fact that it needs to be plugged in to operate is well worth the hassle because of the extra RMS power you get over a battery powered speaker. If you have the room I would suggest putting it on its side for a better channel ( left & right ) separation.

When I recently went to Best Buy I was looking for a somewhat portable speaker that I could take outside or bring with and use at parties. The customer service kept try to push me for smaller speakers with good sound and battery backup in order to use even when no electrical outlets were available. The problem is the smaller speakers were very limited in how loud they could get making them not very ideal for large gatherings. I would be able to hear them when outside mowing lawn either. As it was I almost bought a harmon kardon portable speaker that had a five hour battery life and very nice sound along with surprisingly deep bass for a small speaker. As I was walking up to the checkout line to pay for this speaker I walked by something else that caught my eye immediately. It was a large Sony boombox speaker surrounded by really cool lights. After checking this speaker out I was very impressed. It has two sub-woofers, four tweeters, great sound, Bluetooth or auxiliary connections, amazing party lights built in that change color along with strobe lights on handles, and while speaker is fairly large it is not too heavy and has two handle on either end for lifting and carrying it easily. This speaker can also accept a USB or flash-drive to play music. I also like that the top of speaker has a long recessed slot with rubber bumper to hold phone, iPod, or tablets secure. Another cool find was the app you can upload to device Song-pal. Song-pal makes it easy to select which music app on your phone you want to play and allows you to have complete remote control over speaker from phone. And if the Fiestable app by Sony is also uploaded from playstore it has an illumination function to the Songpal app so that you can change the light settings to fit your mood, music, or just to amaze your party quests.Two Cons are this speakers lack of batttery meaning it only works plugged in and it does not have the newest Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. I also find the music quality fluctuates when running on Bluetooth depending on the quality of original song upload on your device. Of course hooking up via auxiliary cable, RCA jack, or USB will eliminate all of that. Despite this I absolutely have no complaints. This speaker is more that I was expecting to find and absolutely love it. Everyone who sees it tells me they want one. Thank you Sony for another cool product and thanks to Best Buy sales associate for helping me find just what I needed to make my party perfect.

I purchased the Sony - XB7 Extra Bass Audio System after looking at it carefully in the store. It looked really nice and had many great features that I liked such as: fully controllable strobe lights and color-changing LED lights, as well as Bluetooth connectivity. However, when I brought it home and turned it on, I began to fully-understand that this was an exceptional-sounding speaker with unusual versatility. This is a powerful speaker with huge sound! It looks great, sounds great, and has plenty of power to fill large indoor or outdoor areas with rich sound and lots of bass. In fact, after listening and understanding that these speakers can be wirelessly connected to a second speaker to REALLY fill any area with sound, I went back to Best Buy and bought the second speaker. They can be connected in any way you might want, such as left and right channels, or both channels coming from each speaker, all very easily with the simple push of a button on the back of the master speaker. If you might want even more that two speakers they can also be chained together in multiple combinations with RCA cables. Needless to say, I am very pleased with my purchase(s) and highly recommend them to anyone wanting beautiful, room-filling, full-range sound. These speakers are really powerful so they must be plugged-in, as they would exhaust a battery too quickly. Buy one (or two) and they will create at party every time you turn them on...
