It took me a few days to get used to them. Love them! Bass is deep, the sound is clear, battery life awesome (got them on Monday, use every day for a few hours, never charged yet, the battery still in Medium - the same as in the day I unboxed them. Today is Thursday). ANC - about 90% as good as Sony 1000x. Definitely worth to save $$$ to get these instead of their older brother. One regret? Wish they would give you more control over the headphones features with the mobile app. But maybe in the Future?

Great Bass and noise cancelling, fits the ear very well. long battery life. Light weight. Nice charring bag that came with it.

These headphones have great sound quality overall and the bass enhancing effect is amazing. However, they are both uncomfortable and bulky. If you try to use them while working out, they do not stay in place. They are also slightly inconvenient to carry around, despite the foldable design. It would be a good idea to try them out in store before purchasing online. Another problem with these headphones is sound leakage, which occurs even when the volume is not extremely loud. I still think that they are worth the sale price though.

The noise cancelling is great in these headphones! I don't actually expect it to cancel everything and it doesnt, it only cancels high frequency sounds, but the amount it cancels is top notch. I can feel the difference, and it's a hard thing to go back to non noise cancelling headphones after using this. The bass effect works just as good too! However, the only real bad thing about it is the size. It hardly fits around my neck when I hang it on there. But overall, a great pair of headphones!

I use these headphones to connect to my Sony TV via Bluetooth. I am not an audiophile, but I find the sound to be very acceptable and the Bluetooth connection to be very reliable. Since my TV room is not very large, the range on these headphones is very good. I have been able to move to over 30' away and still got a good signal. They are very light and comfortable to wear. The battery life is very good too. I get about a week out (about 2-3 hours a day of use) of them before I have to charge them. Although I have not extensively tested out the noise canceling feature, I do find that they do cut down the ambient room noise, but I am not sure that is the technology or just that they cover your ears. The one thing I dont like is the buttons. They are not "easy" to find while you are using them. Maybe I am not use to using them because I dont have to use them that much. Not a deal breaker at all though.

The Sony headphones are amazing in many ways. This particular model comes with noise canceling which makes a huge difference. The sound quality is top notch. Although, they do lean more toward the bass end of the spectrum (even having the option to boost the bass) they do well across the entire board. The earcups are very comfortable, making listening for an extended period of time pain free. Easily the best pair I own.

I purchased these headphones for watching tv/movies/gaming late night when the surround sound is too loud for others but I still like it loud. They do the job pretty well. They could have better high end sound quality but the bass is very good. They're very comfortable headphones. They're slightly heavy but I can wear them for hours without the ear discomfort I've experienced with almost every other pair of headphones I've ever had. Bluetooth pairs well with everything I've tried and has decent range. I plug them to charge every few days or so and the battery has never died on me so I'd figure atleast 20 hours per charge. Overall hard to beat for the price. I wouldn't go jogging with them but great for extended home use.

The bass gets very low but is clean. Very comfortable and does not hurt my ears like beats headphones do. The quality is great but not quite as loud as some more expensive beats. The bluetooth phone calls are top notch quality and very convenient.

I bought these as gift for my husband. Every time he uses them, he comments on how amazing the sound quality is. Crystal clear sound with a deep bass. The headphones are comfortable and fit all sizes. Having wireless headphones makes it so much easier to use them and do tasks around the house without having the cord getting stuck on objects. Overall they’re amazing!

These are really comfortable to wear. My kids wore them for basically two straight weeks while on vacation (lots of plane and train time) and never complained. The noise cancellation is really good and the bass is strong (too much for me, but my teenage kids love it). The battery life is also outstanding. The app for your phone is pretty useful to help change things up (eg Arena) if you get bored with the same old sound all the time - or if you have a live or acoustic album and want it to sound like you're really there. Oh, I also love that it comes with a 3.5mm plug! Really handy when you're on a long plane ride. My only gripe is that it comes with a bag, but no hard case. I'll probably buy one from a third-party site.

Purchased this headphones on Thanksgiving and I must say I was happy with how it sounded right out of the box. I am no audiophile but I like my music booming. So the extra bass works for me. It's not for everyone though. Try it out in store. And of course, this being wireless makes it easier for me to move around without having to worry about cables.

I had been looking to get some noise cancelling headphones for awhile, and am so thankful I trusted the other reviews, and went with these. The Bluetooth is far superior than any other (Beats & JBL) headphones I've ever owned. The others would lose connectivity if I turned my head the wrong way, this doesn't happen with this pair. Another great feature is you can press the power button and they'll let you know what your battery level is, so you don't have to be surprised by a low battery. Also, the noise cancelling, obviously the main reason to buy these headphones is great. I take the train to work, and the difference is night and day versus non n/c headphones. They cancel out almost all of the background noise of the train, and I'm able to enjoy my music without having the volume cranked all the way up. I think the only thing I don't care for is when a phone call comes in, the tone is of an old fashioned phone, and if you're not expecting it, it'll make you jump a bit. But overall, I love these headphones, more than any other wireless pair I've owned.

This headphone is good for bass lovers. Solid wireless connectivity. Comfort fit. You can adjust the bass level using the app to be installed on your phone. Good noise cancellation for low frequency ambience noises like refrigerator, Air conditioner, . It holds good amount of battery power. Great purchase.

Honestly, I was one of those people who didn’t need to buy headphones over $30... just never felt I needed to splurge, but one day I decided to walk into Best Buy and check out what headphones they had on display, oh boy did I not know what I was missing! (It was clean sounds and beautiful bass) I honestly spent an hour just reading the boxes and listening to the Skull Candy, Bose and Sony over-the-ear headphones and my goodness I was blown away by the noise-cancelling and rich sound. But considering the price the only thing that came to mind was, “TREAT YO SELF!” And I did! These were my first “nice pair” of headphones and I don’t regret the purchase what-so-ever! The Bluetooth is fantastic and has good range, the noise-cancelling is impressive too! I work in a noise machine shop and honestly I feel like I’m just wrapped up in a blanket of music. Some of you are probably thinking, but what about tone and bass and all that jazz, well you will not be disappointed my friends. Listening to a wide range of styles, these headphones capture the highs and lows and bass perfectly. I keep the added bass booster on all the time because I’m a fan, but even if you’re sensitive to it, you still get a good amount with it off. All the buttons/functions to control volume, play/pause/skip, toggle on/off noise-cancelling and bass effect, and answering calls are easily accessible and controlled right from the headphones themselves. So, if your device is somewhere else, you can still control everything you need from the headphones. What else... the comfort of the set is fantastic! The foam used to cover your ears beasically forms to you without any uncomfortable pressure points (at least for me). I have average size ears and I’ve worn these bad boys for several hours at a time with no pain or discomfort. When answering phone calls, the speaker picks up your voice really well even though the microphone is located around your ear. I’ve only run into the “you sound like your in a tunnel” issue once, but I think that was my fault. Honestly I could just keep blabbing on, but all-in-all, these are the best headphones I’ve ever owned and they look GOOD, I will always stand by them. I even convinced my boss to buy a pair.

I don't typically write reviews. These are the absolute best sounding headphones I have ever owned. 2 Years later and they sound as good as they did on day 1. I Highly recommend if you enjoy music and like a little thump in your ears. The Bass is absolutely amazing!!! Blew all others that I tried out of the water. They are very comfortable to wear but can get a little hot if you wear them for a long period of time. The battery life is exceptional. I have gamed with them over 12 hours one day. Excellent Job Sony on creating such an awesome set of Headphones.

If you like bass start looking at this pair of headphones they rock. Your not going to get very good treble with this pair of headphones so don't even think it. Good range from source and battery life is excellent. The noise cancellation while listening to music is good. If you got these a week or so ago with the door buster deal you did well.

I got is on sale plus some extra gift cards helped me save. Waited a while before getting it as I just recently bought the 1000x for the wife. The sound and bass is quite good better than Bose qc25 in which I returned It’s not as comfortable as the qc25 but you can’t have it all. The head band is too tight, my ears hurt after 30 mins of listening. I am hoping it will get better as it gets broken in, as I really like this headphone over the 1000x in terms of the bass wise. Doesn’t look good on your head but I guess it doesn’t matter to me because I care more about sounds than looks Noise canceling is good but not great like the Bose qc35. Like I said you can’t have it all. If Bose is listening add more bass to your q.v. version and I’m sure you’ll have a lot of happy customers. App helped adjust the bass level on this model which is a bonus Buy this headphone if you don’t care about looks or sacrificing some comfort. At $60 out of pocket I’m willing to try it but not at $250.

Background: I am not an audiophile by any stretch, but I am a retired studio recorded musician. I love music. We are taking the kids to Europe in April. The wife and I agreed on getting the kids (and us) noise canceling headphones for the 14+ hour trip on the airplane I ended up getting these on a great Black Friday deal and they are just great, especially for the price. They are incredibly comfortable, intuitive to use and the sound is just fantastic. I got my daughter the Beats Studio 2 in Gold Rose (also excellent, beautiful, easy to use and look at) and I would say the sound quality between them is spot on. You can't go wrong with either one, but for the price, I would go with Sony. Great headset for the budget oriented premium market. Highly recommend.
