I first noticed these headphones after seeing a friend with them. I tried them on, and WOW! The noise cancellation is dangerously good. I think they will be a favorite of mine for years to come.

I own these and Bose qc25. The price is great for the Sony Bluetooth but the noise canceling is much better on the Bose. Sony has the best bass hands down! Not quite up to par with Bose but overall great headphones for the price!

GREAT noise cancelling headphones - when you use them, you cannot hear anything other than the music you have playing. Fantastic for airplane rides (or when you need to tune out your teenagers).

I am aware that those are extra bass headphones, but I was expecting this feature could be turned on and off. Unfortunately, even with the extra bass switch off, there is mostly bass coming out of those headphones. The heights and mids are muffled, so if you prefer listening the clean music with wide frequency spectrum, those are not for you. My other headphones are Sennheiser with the same price tag, and those two cannot be compared at all. In all segments the Sennheiser is better, especially the sound quality and comfort.

These headphones are awesome. I started with skullcandy hesh 3, but was pretty disappointed with the overall sound. There was no bass at all. The Sony was on sale for only $30 more and sounded amazing compared to the hesh. The bass on these are plenty, and I love that you can adjust the level of bass with the app. The sound canceling is an awesome addition as well. I'm in my own little world when I put these puppies on. I don't regret this buy one bit.

Sony has always been known to make a good product and this one does not fail to deliver. The noise cancelling function works well in loud environments like work or on a subway train. Very detailed sound when listening to music.

Cheaper than the equivalent Bose and same quality. Maybe not quite as comfortable but close. The voice indicating when the noise cancelling and bass effect are on vs off gets annoying quickly (this is the reason for 4 stars).

Purchased this when it was on sale since my wife's older version of Sony's noise canceling headphone needs to retire. We travel a lot so these type of headphone is preferred. This obviously work much better than the old one and does not require an AAA anymore. Just simply use the USB cable that came with it and charge the built-in rechargeable battery. It buffer noise pretty good but not as good as my Bose QC35, but for the price it performs very well.

These headphones have great sound quality, decent bass, really good noise cancelling, and are pretty comfortable for the most part.

I liked these headphones a lot. The sound and comfort were great! Personally I wear headphones for extended periods of time (3+ hours). These headphones (like most other noise canceling over the ear) get hot after wearing for a while. This is not unique to this set. This happens with all the over the ear noise cancelling headphones, including Bose. I returned these in favor of in the ear noise cancelling headphones. And open ear non-noise cancelling headphones.

Bought these for a long flight to cancel out the airplane noise. They worked wonderful for movies and music and when not listening also helped drown out plane noise so I was able to sleep.

These headphones are comfortable and sound great. BT works well w/ smartphones and clarity was outstanding.

I was looking for headphones to use when watching downloaded content on flights I take for business trips. It is important to me that they are noise cancelling as I find it difficult to hear while flying. These headphones were exactly what I needed. Comfortable for long flights, and the sound quality was perfect. If I want to listen to music, it has a bass booster as well. Happy with the product and purchase.

These are the perfect headphones for anybody who loves music why buy Beats or bose for double the price and leaves have just as good of sound and Bass effect is awesome I can hear my music in the stereo quality right for my headphones and didn't have to pay a crazy amount of money very surprised I work out with these listen to these all day at work I mean the battery life was way unexpected even though it says it on the box I can't believe how last a long I've been using them for 2 days no charge

Battery life is very good. Bass boost and noise cancellation is excellent. Bluetooth range is the best.
