Don't know if it's just my headphones but there's absolutely no difference whether the noise cancelling is ON or OFF. You just hear everything around, voices, cars, footseps. Music sounds completely distorted on a plane. The + : long lasting battery, powerful bass. I'm planning on purchasing a different model that would ACTUALLY be noise cancelling.

Brought these headphones for $119.99, the weekend before xmas. Best deal for noise canceling bass boost nfc headphones. Noise canceling is good. Bass Boost is great besides using the aux cord which takes away the boost. Nfc is awesome, just swipe your phone or nfc compatible and you're ready to go. Plus, you can download the app that goes with the headphones to make the headphones even better.

Good sound. NC feature not the best I had. Comfy. I can wear it for long hours. But that depends on people.

I bought these because of several trips I make throughout the year. I thought the noise canceling properties would help drown out the loud engines on an airplane, Well, I think I made the right choice. Shortly after getting these headphones, I made a trip and was able to easily stay focused on what I was listening too rather than wishing the engines weren't so loud. Good product and sound.

I purchased the Sony XB950N1 wireless headphones on sale at BestBuy. The extra bass feature functions reasonably on music that is lacking bass. As an audiophile, I would not describe the overall sound as "high fidelity." It's signature sound can be described as "compressed." My wired Sennheiser 598 are vastly more detailed and open but I use the Sony's for the gym and watching TV, so they suffice. There are other wireless cans that sound vastly more open such as the newer Sony 1000XM3 ($300). The ear cups are smallish, even for my small ears, and I readjust them frequently. The 950N1 headband has been noted on blogs to crack and fail. I bought BB "no questions asked" warranty with breakage in mind. They are comfortable and bluetooth functions well at long distance. Inconvenient: When connecting with other BT appliances, the phones require one to cancel prior named units and rename the one you are attempting to connect to. They sometimes drop the signal and I have to stop in my workout and reconnect it using the app on my iPhone. It usually stays connected and its other functions like "bass boost" on/off, FF or RW, call answer work ok. Phone calls are difficult to hear but I don't use it for that. I don't answer calls when I'm using the headphones (gym). It's worth $119 I paid but not $250. First pair I had failed to recharge battery and I had to return them and order another pair. Worth it for price I paid. Blogs note other issues. Read before you buy.
