I bought these for the noise canceling feature. They work okay, but not great. The problem is the sound quality. I guess I was expecting that they would sound better, but that is a personal thing.

I purchased these at a bargain price, but unfortunately they just don’t sound that good. I expected them to sound close to the beats studio over the ear headphones I have, but my beats earbuds sound better than these headphones. On the plus side, they connected easily to everything Bluetooth in my house, but the app that is needed for these to work is limited and lacks functionality. I would normally test drive headphones before I purchased them, but the price was right and it’s a Sony product. What could go wrong?

On a positive the battery is good and sound is OK. Unfortunately, the noise canceling feature makes little or no difference.

These headphones did not fit around the ears at all. They were also so heavy that they moved around on head while doing excercises.

I love these headphones. The sounds is crystal clear. The base is not overwhelming on base boost, which was a worry of mine. The Noise Cancelling works well. I don't think that I have big ears, but these were almost too small. They fit comfortably, but ears fill them. So just be aware. If you have the opportunity to see them in person first, you should. There are some options in the Sony Headphones Connect app for different surround options, Arena, Concert Hall, etc. I'm not biggest fan of them. Maybe if you're listening to live music then arena would be good, and Concert Hall for classical. But you should know that the options are there. Highly recommended. Great sound and comfortable.

I got these to avoid the inner canal pods, to teeek and create great music. NC works great. But quality isn’t the best.

These were pretty good headphones but I decided to return them because the sound in one ear was not consistent. Decided to upgrade to a different Sony one.

The headphones arrived one day prior to when they were supposed to. I had high hopes for these headphones. When I tried them on they were too tight and the earpieces were very uncomfortable. The directions were very confusing. I immediately repacked them and returned them. I am still waiting for my refund. Customer service was great.

Headphones deliver full value for the money spent

COMFORT: I don't want to take these headphones off! It's not just the great sound, but they're so comfortable I can wear them for hours and hours without ear fatigue. And I wear eyeglasses which quickly produce discomfort from headphone ear pads pressing my ear cartilage against the temple tips of my eyeglasses. The ear cups on this headset pivot at the end of the headband and I think that makes all the difference. A great design that allows for long-wearing comfort. SOUND: These headphones rock! Absolutely the best sounding headsets I've ever put on my ears. Before writing this review I listened to about 50 hours of great music from many genres and artists. All sounded great. This headset has a fine base even with the Base Effect turned off. For me, the Base Effect is a bit much for most of my musical taste. But, for someone who can appreciate it, you'll find this headset delivers. Just push the Base Effect button, lean back, and you'll swear the whole room is shaking. QUALITY: This headset seems to be very well made. They're solid in your hand, but still feel light on your head. I've examined the sliding adjusters on the headband and I believe they will stand up to years of use. Most of the headphones I've tossed out over my lifetime broke at the adjusters. That seems to be the weak point on most headsets and I think Sony got it right with these. WIRELESS: The Sony headset's Bluetooth connections with my devices were easy to establish and remained solid. Reconnections to my devices were automatic and I did not experience any skipping, spooling, or dropouts. HEADPHONES CONNECT APP: I installed the Sony Headphones Connect app on my Android phone and was disappointed to find it to be minimally useful with only a few controls for controlling the headset. There wasn't even a volume control. Though there is a version of this app for iPhones, I was disappointed a second time to find there wasn't a version for my iPad. This app software is in its early stage and I hope that Sony will soon be rolling out app versions for all mobile devices and with many useful controls. Please know that the lack of good mobile device apps in no way impacts the high quality of the headphones themselves. They are not dependent on the apps for anything. The apps will simply act as a remote control providing you with a visual-based means of control rather than touch controls only. SUMMARY: Very fine set of headphones that deliver full value for the money spent. Even though they're designed for those who enjoy a deep, throbbing bass, they will satisfy a much wider market of listeners who may only occasionally engage the Bass Effect. Highly recommend for anyone.

Very much worth the money for these headphones. These are no doubt for someone who loves bass lines emphasized in their music. Clear, clean, and very smooth sound. One would think that headphones designed for bass in mind would be very flat with no highs. Not the case here. The noise cancelling and comfort is ridiculous! You become immersed in the the sound quality. I do like the app to adjust the bass level, but the preset EQ they provide in the app is just OK. I would recommend buying a hard shell case to fully protect this investment especially for someone on the go.

The only way to charge these headphones is to plug into a computer that awake. When your computer goes to sleep, it quits charging. Why couldn't they make them plug into a USB wall plug? They failed just about a year after purchase. The battery failed and you have to send it to somewhere else and the cost of replacing the battery is just about as much as the cost of the headphones.
