Great sound but terrible battery life

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So far I am really loving the speaker, the sound quality is great, even at max volume theres little to no distortion, but the battery is far far less than advertised. On a good day with the light function turned off and at less than half volume itll maybe last 13 hour's. At 75% volume with The LDAC bluetooth codec with no lights ive maybe gotten 8 to 9 hours? Besides that its a really solid speaker.

It's really a mini-boom box with big sound!

Performance wise the sound is clear and very smooth, and easily fills a big party room or outdoor lanai and pool. The blue tooth is super sensitive in that it connects very easily to any BT device in its vicinity.

Excellence speaker very loud nice bass

And we're sorry to hear that the battery life did not meet your expectations. Please note: For charging the built-in battery of the speaker, the Battery Care mode option is available in addition to the normal charging method. Battery Care mode limits the maximum charge capacity to approximately 90% and makes the battery life last longer. The playback time available in Battery Care mode is shorter than the time available when the built-in battery is charged by the normal charging method. At the time of purchase, the speaker is not in Battery Care mode.
You can place/bring the speaker into/out of Battery Care mode with “Sony | Music Center.” Hope this helps!

Disappointing performance
