Big sound, little speaker

A Good Bluetooth Speaker

I wish I could adjust the mid-range, treble, and bass. It could be just a lack of knowing how at this point.

While we're glad you appreciate the sound quality, we're sorry to hear you find the speaker doesn't get very loud as you would like. We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. Depending on the connected BLUETOOTH device, volume adjustment on the BLUETOOTH device may not change the volume level of the speaker (i.e. the (power) indicator does not flash). When the volume of the speaker sounds low, adjust the volume level of the BLUETOOTH device to an appropriate one, and then adjust the volume level of the speaker with the +/- (volume) buttons on the speaker.

By downloading the Sony Music Center app, you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune the speaker using the built-in EQ and maximize the volume to ensure optimal listening experience. To get the most out of the volume, turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

Disappointed

I researched a lot when I was looking to buy a portable, waterproof/dustproof speaker with the ability to connect other speakers - or as Sony calls it, Party Connect. I bought two of these at the end of June for our July 4th party - fully charged both speakers up and set one up on one side of my yard and put the other speaker on the other end (my property is barely 0.4 acres) - they would not stay connected unless they were close to each other, and not only that, my husband had to leave his phone next to the speaker all day so that the music would play which was pretty inconvenient and even still, occasionally the sound would come out fuzzy and tinny at times, and one of us would have to walk over and reconnect both speakers. When the speakers are working as expected, the sound is great... but I'm not happy that I paid almost $600 for two speakers and am already having issues - I expected more out of Sony.

Good for dusty spaces

Works amazingly for vocals

To ensure optimal listening experience, install the Sony Music Center app to adjust the equalizer and set the BLUETOOTH connection quality to "Priority on Sound Quality". The “Priority on Sound Quality” preference provides compatibility not only with SBC but also with AAC and LDAC* for music playback of high sound quality. Hope this helps!
