Make sure to try multiple sources. The sound may also become low when the battery of the speaker is insufficient. Make sure to charge the built-in battery sufficiently. However, we understand your concern about sound performance when there's other noise around. It's important to note that the sound performance can vary depending on the specific outdoor environment, including factors such as wind, background noise, and open spaces, which may affect the perceived loudness.

In some cases, you might find that the speaker's sound may not be as loud as desired for outdoor use, especially in noisy or wide-open areas. Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your Sony SRSXE300 Portable Speaker. While we're glad you appreciate the sound quality, we're sorry to hear you find the speaker doesn't get very loud as you would like. We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. Depending on the connected BLUETOOTH device, volume adjustment on the BLUETOOTH device may not change the volume level of the speaker (i.e. the (power) indicator does not flash). When the volume of the speaker sounds low, adjust the volume level of the BLUETOOTH device to an appropriate one, and then adjust the volume level of the speaker with the +/- (volume) buttons on the speaker.

By downloading the Sony Music Center app, you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune the speaker using the built-in EQ and maximize the volume to ensure optimal listening experience. To get the most out of the volume, turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.
