Thank you for taking the time to review your SRS-XE200 speaker. We're so sorry if you find the speaker doesn't get very loud and it hasn't performed to your standards when it comes to battery life. We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. Depending on the connected BLUETOOTH device, volume adjustment on the BLUETOOTH device may not change the volume level of the speaker (i.e. the(power) indicator does not flash). When the volume of the speaker sounds low, adjust the volume level of the BLUETOOTH device to an appropriate one, and then adjust the volume level of the speaker with the +/- (volume) buttons on the speaker.

The XE200 will give you 16 hours of play when the battery is fully charged, meaning a single charge should be long enough to power through any party. And Sony's unique mic sensing technology, Ambient Noise Sensing, helps save battery when used outside.

By downloading the Sony Music Center app, you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune the speaker using the built-in EQ and maximize the volume to ensure optimal listening experience. To get the most out of the volume, turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

Thank you for your time writing this review. We are sorry but the SRSXE200 speaker is not specifically advertised as having Extra bass. If you are looking for the Sony speaker with Mega or Extra bass, we recommend our XG300, XG500, XB43and XB23.

Pair with IP67 Waterproof, dustproof1 and shockproof design, this speaker is made for even the strongest elements. The bass effect and sound quality will also depend on the source and quality of the music you are playing. We suggest playing quality audio for the best listening experience. We also recommend using the Sony | Music Center app. It has a sound quality setting and equalizer adjustment that you can use to adjust and enhance your listening experience.
