Purchased this speaker to replace a surround sound system in our sun room to save space. It fills the room with great sound and the battery lasts quite a long time. Long enough that we don't really need to worry about it. My 8 month old enjoys the lights on the side. I like that it can pair to two devices at once as it is really convenient switching between the two.

A nice addition to our musical exportation. Well built, water resistant, ample sound horizon, simple connection to our music library through the iPhone; seems to have a healthy battery capacity as well. I got it on sale (thanks BestBuy helper!) so it was a reasonable cost and a good value.

This is one impressive sounding Bluetooth speaker for its size. I preferred the sound of this XG300 over similar sized speakers from JBL, Bose, Marshall, etc. Nice deep bass and crisp mids and highs give this speaker a impressively rich sound. It has outstanding battery life and I love the fact that it can even charge other devices, such as my portable audio player or phone. The only negative thing I can say about this speaker is it's pretty heavy, probably due to it having a larger built-in battery than most other speakers this size. I don't feel this is a big problem because you usually put speakers like this down and leave them in place for hours at a time and I found a custom case for it on Amazon with a shoulder strap which is perfect for when you need to grab it and go. To me the weight is absolutely worth it for the extended battery life it provides. Nice work Sony!

I LOVED THIS SPEAKER, SMALL, HANDY AND POWERFUL BUT I GAVE IT TO MY NEICE WHO LOVED IT MORE THAN ME.

I use this primarily at night in a low volume setting. The bass is clear and balanced even at low volumes (like 10% volume) which is great and perfect as that gives the music so much character and it’s perfect to experience it without having to blast the music. The sound is mostly crisp. I left it at the default setting in the music center app and it sounds absolutely fine. Midrange levels are clear. At high volumes, you are only going to be interested in the sound and not the clarity of the music which is what it does. A single speaker was good enough for me but I’m sure a pair will make a great stereo system. I highly recommend this to those who prefer clarity of music over color of music.

I have used this speaker many different environments enclosed and open spaces with varying noise levels. The positive aspects of this speaker is the bass and warmth of music played as well as the clarity. The app can be confusing but it is helpful when changing eq settings. Sony produced a high quality speaker but in open spaces with less surface for the sounds to reverberate the volume of the music leaves much to be desired. I was working with this speaker on max volume less than 15 ft away and i could barely hear anything out of it. I had to move in as close as possible (5ft) and even then the sound was not loud at all. Compared to my friends JBL extreme 3 which i can hear from over 50ft away! I am quite reasonably disappointed in loudness of the speakers in this unit , I’m sure sony had some design modifications to limit the true volume of this speaker so the battery life would be increased. I have multiple other bluetooth speakers who’s loudness and sound clarity is just as comperable as this one though they don’t have the bass that kicks. On sale it is a decent price for a heavy party speaker for at home or in a garage space not so much in large open areas. If i hadn’t thrown the box away i would return it, for now i will just use it at home where i can actually hear it.

This speaker has great sound for the price. Feels solid good bass. My son takes it to the skatepark, and it is loud enough to hear it outdoors and through the skateboard noise.

This speaker is great, the battery lasts a long time, the sound is excellent, Sony has a great balance between bass, mid and highs. It would be nice if they had put the battery and lights controls in front instead of behind the charger cover but that’s minor.

I will summerize my return reasons for various speakers. Bose flex: too much voice, not enough instrumentation sound, mid bass is annoying. Megaboom 3: sounds hollow, no real dynamic sound, sounds like careboard. JBL extreme: too much treble, sounds cold. The sony sounds warm, treble is clean, bass is not boomy or missing and vocals sound pronounced, but not exaggerated to make the speaker sound big. Fills the living room nicely with noise. Easy and pleasing to my ears. I listen to spanish music. Good sound. Best value at sale price. Plus, you can add/reduce bass/treble with app, unlike others ive tried, the sony app adjustments actually make a dramatic difference. Also works as speaker phone.

I'm enjoying the speaker carrying the speaker as i go on daily walks. It's very light and fits quite nicely in the back pack. Awesome sound and has an adequate battery life.

Amazing sound i like so much it's not heavy and have a good power

This is a solid wireless speaker with very long battery life (10+ hours in my test). The sound quality is exceptional for the price. 99% of people will be unable to hear a difference between this Sony speaker and a Bose speaker at triple the price. I removed a star because of its stereo connectivity to another identical speaker. Using Sony’s proprietary music app, you are able to connect two together via Bluetooth for stereo play, however, I found that after approximately one hour, one of the two speakers would start popping and cutting out. I returned the suspect speaker and the same thing happened with the new one, which tells me it’s an inherent issue with the hardware. Firmware was up to date and the speakers were fully charged and not moving relative to the mobile device. You may or may not encounter the same issue.

Sound quality is great, battery lasts a very long time, I almost never need to charge. The volume range is great, I never have it on full-volume as there's no need. Highly recommend!

The Sony XG300 is an outstanding portable Bluetooth speaker that truly exceeds expectations. The sound quality is exceptional, with clear, balanced audio and impressive bass. The only minor drawback is that it’s a bit on the heavier side. However, considering its many benefits—such as excellent sound quality, long battery life, and a robust build—the weight is a minor trade-off. Overall, the XG300 is a high-quality portable speaker that delivers excellent performance.

I really think this a great purchase. I had it a short time ,but it rocks. Loud great sound, the best Bass I heard from a portable speaker. I bring it to my pool and its waterproof so no worries. It is really nice.

Bought this on a “deal of the day” and I am beyond happy with my purchase. As many others have said, you would think it’d be louder, however what everyone fails to mention — it’s sound quality doesn’t degrade at maximum volume, which almost all others do. Full range sound, excellent bass and great battery life — essentially an awesome speaker!

Long lasting battery if LED are off. But, even if LED's on is still manages a decent battery life!. Is also loud and sound quality is there! I would definitely recommend
