    Although this is built nicely this was not for me. For the cost the quality of sound lacks for the cost. The lights are what gets people who likes a vibe of a party animal. Having kids means they're moments away from poking something through it out of curiosity. Overall i give it a 2 star.

    Poor design by Sony. The speakers our focused in the center of the speaker. If you sit any where on the sides of the speaker you get distorted sound. If you want it for an outside speaker I would not recommend. The sound struggles to keep the bass and mids together. Very upset with Sony as they normally make great audio equipment. Sounds great instore but trust me once you get it out in real world atmosphere it struggles.

    Totally unimpressed by Sony. This isn't the quality that Sony is known for at any price range. Furthermore, pairing for stereo sound only works until you move a couple feet away. One speaker will start stuttering. The EQ is terrible.

By downloading the Sony Music Center app, there is a built-in EQ that has 20 points of control for Bass, Midrange, and Treble to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs and ensure optimal performance with the speaker. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

      If the sound is too low or the bass sound can't be heard, check if the Ambient Noise Sensing function is activated. Please note that when the Ambient Noise Sensing function is activated, the speaker detects environmental noises during the music playback. This function will help reduce power consumption and preserve the battery by cutting out bass sounds that will become hard to hear because of the ambient noise.

    Used it for a couple of hours. Then the device sound just blended in with the background. Me thinking i might have lowered the volume i checked my device and nothing changed. Then i moved on to checking the “optional” app to make the sound “whole”. Side note the app is terrible but whatever. Checking on that it appears that everything is how it should be. Then i noticed the battery of the device is low. So i went to charge it. Pluged it in and to my suprise! The device still sucked. After that a quick wave of frustration and ensued . Then packed it up and retured it. TLDR do jot buy if you want to stay plugged in to the wall for lack luster sound.

    HUGE BIG BUG WITH THIS SPEAKER: When connected to Bluetooth and Wifi @ the same time the speaker is skipping every 1 second Literally. This means if I want to watch a YouTube video which uses "WIFI" and Connect Bluetooth to speaker it will keep skipping or same with when try to watch a movie directly from my Hard drive. Also, the battery life on the version before this one lasted a weeklong fully charged yet this one you would be lucky to get 3 hours out of it. Lastly the sound is not very good compared to the last one which had an additional option button you could press for live sound. They also Marked a big flag on the item in my account says ITEM is UNRETURNABLE

      Use the device as far away from the following as possible.
      Areas where wireless LAN access points are set up.
      Nearby microwaves in use, TVs, radios, tuners, and other such devices.
      Move the connected Bluetooth® device closer to the speaker.
      Issues may occur if there are walls, people, metal, or other objects that interrupt Bluetooth waves between the speaker and your smartphone or tablet.
      Issues may occur if you are operating apps or accessing the settings screen on your smartphone or tablet. Stop Bluetooth playback when performing these operations.
      When connected to a smartphone or tablet, restart this device before reconnecting to the speaker via the Bluetooth function.
      2.Change the wireless playback quality of the speaker Use the following method to change the wireless playback quality of the speaker to Priority on stable connection.
      3.Check the connection status between the devices

    Jbl extreme 3 is better, this is good as a indoor speaker for a small room looks nice but if you want good sound and nice outdoor sound i recc the jbl always
