Thank you for telling us about your experience with your XE200 speaker. We regret to hear it hasn't performed to your standards when it comes to the sound quality. We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. The XE200 speaker sends sound out from a small, compact unit. And with the Line-Shape Diffuser, the sound spreads further to the front area of the speaker, allowing you to enjoy the same sound quality whether at the front or to the side of the speaker. This means everyone in your venue can dance to the same music, feeling the same sound quality.

By downloading the Sony Music Center app, you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune the speaker using the built-in EQ to ensure optimal listening experience. There is a built in EQ that has 20 points of control for Bass, Midrange, and Treble. You can also change the speaker set up from Mono to Stereo to suit your needs. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

Inspired by the audio systems used at professional concerts, Sony's unique Line-Shape Diffuser creates line source and distributes the sound energy evenly, across a wide sound front, to better fill your space with audio. This spreads high-quality sound further and wider around your venue, without compromising on sound quality.

Unlike a conventional speaker, with most of the energy focused from the center of the cone, our unique Line-Shape Diffuser refocuses the sound through a narrow aperture. The increase in sound pressure energy spreads the audio equally in each direction both further and wider out from the speaker.

-Turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device.
-While the speaker is running on power from the rechargeable built-in battery, the sound may become low in the event that the rechargeable built-in battery is running out of power and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction.
-Make sure to charge the built-in battery sufficiently.

We are sorry to learn you're having Bluetooth pairing issues with the speaker. The SRS-XE200 requires the A2DP Bluetooth profile for Bluetooth playback. If you're unable to pair the speaker with a BLUETOOTH device, please follow the steps below to help troubleshoot this issue.

• Place the speaker and the BLUETOOTH device within 1 m (3.2 ft) of each other.
• If the (BLUETOOTH) indicator is not double flashing in blue, press the(BLUETOOTH) button. You hear voice guidance (BLUETOOTH pairing) and the(BLUETOOTH) indicator starts double flashing (pairing mode).
• If the speaker is not displayed on the BLUETOOTH device, turn off the BLUETOOTH function on the device, and then turn on the BLUETOOTH function again. It may improve symptoms.
• If the issue is still not resolved, change the sound quality mode from Priority on Sound Quality to Priority on Stable Connection. To change the setting, use the Sony | Music Center app to select Settings → Sound → Bluetooth Connection Quality → Priority on Stable Connection.

When it comes to audio quality, this function can be adjusted on the Sony Music Center app. Additionally, there is a built-in EQ that has 20 points of control for Bass, Midrange, and Treble to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs. You can also check the app that you are using (for audio) or your source device for sound settings and adjustment.

The “Priority on Sound Quality” and “Priority on Stable Connection” preferences are available on the speaker for the BLUETOOTH connection quality. The “Priority on Sound Quality” preference provides compatibility not only with SBC but also with AAC and LDAC* for music playback of high sound quality, whereas the “Priority on Stable Connection” preference enables music playback via more stable BLUETOOTH connections.

If the sound is too low or the bass sound can't be heard, check if the Ambient Noise Sensing function is activated. Please note that when the Ambient Noise Sensing function is activated, the speaker detects environmental noises during the music playback. This function will help reduce power consumption and preserve the battery by cutting out bass sounds that will become hard to hear because of the ambient noise.
