By downloading the Sony Music Center app, you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune the speaker using the built-in EQ and maximize the volume to ensure optimal listening experience. To get the most out of the volume, turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

The SRS-XE300 is designed to provide a balanced sound experience, but we understand that volume preferences can vary. You might want to explore the equalizer settings in the Sony Music Center app to enhance the volume to your liking. As for the lossless audio, the SRS-XE300 supports LDAC, which is a codec capable of transmitting high-resolution audio over Bluetooth. While it may not be entirely lossless, LDAC provides a significantly higher quality audio experience compared to standard Bluetooth codecs.

Hi Jrfromffx, Thank you for sharing your time with the Sony XE300 portable speaker. While we are happy that you are impressed with the sound quality, we're sad to hear that you are having connectivity and battery issues. This is definitely not what we wanted you to experience. Please make sure that your device has the latest firmware update. The firmware release can help improve connectivity and retention of the Sound settings.

The optimal operating temperature of the device is 5 °C – 35 °C.
We recommend not to use or leave the unit in an extremely cold or hot environment (temperature outside the range of 5 °C – 35 °C). If the unit is used or left in outside the above range, the unit may automatically stop to protect internal circuitry.

As for the battery, please make sure to fully charge it every time it's depleted. It may take approximately 5 hours for the empty battery to be fully charged (100%) while the unit is powered off.
