Great Speaker

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So far a great speaker, several pros: Decent batter life, excellent sound quality, easy connectivity. Several cons: No 3.5mm in (I know that's antiquated, but for certain applications it's a must-have), hard to keep clean in dirty environments, voice notifications (batter life, connections, etc.) really annoying. I can live with these grievances, but in the future I'll probably get the bigger version.

Thank you for telling us about your experience with your XE200 speaker. We're truly glad that you like its incredible features, especially the amazing sound, easy Bluetooth pairing, and great battery life. We're sorry, but this unit doesn't feature an AUDIO IN jack. It is a Bluetooth only model. If you want to play music, you can use your smartphone and connect it via Bluetooth connection. However, our XG300 features an aux input jack for connecting devices via a 3.5mm audio cable.
By using “Sony | Music Center,” you can activate/deactivate the voice guidance associated with the remaining battery power that you hear when you turn on the speaker.
The XE200 speaker sends sound out from a small, compact unit. You can spread sound wider with the Line-Shape Diffuser and enjoy powerful sound pressure and clarity with the X-Balanced Speaker, all housed inside a portable speaker with a handy strap. The overall volume may vary depending on the source content. For optimum performance, make sure to charge the built-in battery sufficiently. The sound may become low in the following cases. This is not a malfunction:
-When the built-in battery is running low and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly, while the speaker is being powered by the built-in battery only.
-When the rechargeable built-in battery is running low as a result of long-time use of the speaker at a loud volume even though the speaker was connected to an AC outlet by a USB AC adaptor (commercially available) or to a computer that comes equipped with a USB charging port.
-When the ambient temperature of the speaker is high.
Additionally, you can use the Party Connect function and Stereo Pair function to enjoy a more powerful sound. You may refer to these links for more information:

It charges and hold power sufficiently for my needs. Not sure if mt cell does not have enough volume or the speaker. Don't get me wrong it is loud when in a quiet place, but I use while cycling and sometimes traffic and road noise lessen the volume that i can hear. Noting that unusual extremity it is a good speaker.

When I saw this speaker on sale I was blown away. The musicality and range of this speaker is phenomenal. You can hear every part of your favorite music high and low end, and boy does that low end rumble! Almost no distortion when using LDAC.

Speaker pairing feature.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I purchased this product I purchased two of them so that I could try out the product pairing feature and I was very impressed with how the speakers both pair up together automatically after turning them both on, that is once I have already used the app to pair them for the first time after buying the product. Many speakers nowadays can be paired with another of the same kind, but none other that I have used personally pair automatically by themselves after powering them on except for these ones.

Sony - XE200 Portable Waterproof and Dustproof Blu

The sound is every bit a good as the price! Easy connection to my smartphone and WOW...incredible bass and high notes! Highly recommend!!
