We appreciate your 5-star review of the XG300. It's unfortunate that you had to return the speaker. The TV must support the A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) Bluetooth profile to pair and connect Bluetooth speakers. Please check the specifications of the TV.

At the time of purchase, the MEGA BASS sound effect is activated.

On “Sony | Music Center,” tap [SRS-XG300] - [Settings] - [Sound] - [Sound Effect] - [MEGA BASS].

Press the MEGA BASS button on the speaker.
Each time you press the button, the MEGA BASS sound effect is activated or deactivated.
