Please note: The sound may become low in the following cases. This is not a malfunction.
When the built-in battery is running low and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly, while the speaker is being powered by the built-in battery only.

When the rechargeable built-in battery is running low as a result of long-time use of the speaker at a loud volume even though the speaker was connected to an AC outlet by a USB AC adaptor (commercially available) or to a computer that comes equipped with a USB charging port.

When the ambient temperature of the speaker is high.

If the sound becomes low while in use, follow the procedure below.
-Turn off the speaker.
-Charge the built-in battery sufficiently.

To enhance the audio crispness, we recommend using the Sony Music Center app, which allows you to fine-tune the sound settings, including the equalizer (EQ) options. This can help you achieve the desired audio quality.

Regarding the battery life, it's important to fully charge the speaker, especially after it has gone below 20 or 10%, as this can impact performance. Additionally, turning on the STAMINA function and lowering the volume can help protect the battery and extend its life.

While we're glad you like most of the features and voice guidance associated with the remaining battery power, we're sorry to hear it hasn't performed to your standards when it comes to the bass sound and you find the speaker doesn't get very loud. We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker.

By downloading the Sony Music Center app, you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune the speaker using the built-in EQ and maximize the volume to ensure optimal listening experience. To get the most out of the volume, turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

Additionally, if there is ambient noise or another speaker nearby, the Ambient Noise Sensing function may activate and cause this issue. You can deactivate the Ambient Noise Sensing function using the Sony | Music Center app or speaker button.
