We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. By downloading the Sony Music Center app, you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune the speaker using the built-in EQ and maximize the volume to ensure optimal listening experience. To get the most out of the volume, turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission. If you hear muffled sound or very low-level sound from the speaker, adjust the volume level of the BLUETOOTH device to an appropriate one, and then adjust the volume level of the speaker with the +/- (volume) buttons on the speaker. To ensure optimal listening experience, install the Sony Music Center app to adjust the equalizer and set the BLUETOOTH connection quality to "Priority on Sound Quality". The “Priority on Sound Quality” preference provides compatibility not only with SBC but also with AAC and LDAC* for music playback of high sound quality.

Good all-around speaker

It feels substantial and well-built. Battery hasn't been an issue at all, it lasts a long time. The sound is very nice, it's full and balanced fairly well. The interface is simple and straight forward and connecting it to devices is a breeze. The app allows you to group speakers and tweak the sound levels. I would definitely recommend this device.

Nice clarity. Decent speaker

The XG300 thrives with clarity and sounds great enough when equalized and/or paired with another Sony speaker, other than that don't expect heavy bass nor loud thumping sound. The built in retractable handle is also nice.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t remember how long Bluetooth speakers or headsets have been around but I have a lot of them. The technology has come a long way. From distance to audio quality to the number of devices that can connect at the same time. Some speakers “claim” it can do all of that but fall short when using it outside the their testing labs. Whether its drop connection, not able to manage audio from 2 different sources to pairing issues most speakers have problems. However, the SRS-EX200 Portable Bluetooth Speaker doesn’t have any of these problems. I was able to connect flawlessly to my laptop and phone. Switching between audio wasn’t a problem. Just had to turn make sure audio wasn’t coming from one device and play it from the other I’ve use the SRS-EX200 on a 2 hour conference call connected to my laptop. No one could tell the difference between my mic and the SRS-EX200 mic as I switched between them. The battery life was good. About 16 hour of play back (conference calls, music, phone calls ) before it drop to 20%. The quick charge function is So all the little things and small improvement (pairing seamlessly, quick charge, managing 2 devices) make this a great buy. I think the biggest drawback is the App. I don’t see a need for it and didn’t improve or hurt the experience

Not the loudest speaker but for near field it sounds good Just used it at my wedding near the beach for walk-in music and it was loud enough to cover 50 or so attendees for classical music Happy w it overall

Average, definitely not worth 200

However, the sound quality/volume is where I felt it struggled. We also have a smaller JBL speaker that puts it to shame on volume and bass. Overall I do not think it's worth 200 in the slightest bit.
