Love this speaker. It has nice lights, sounds great and gets loud. I let it full charge and used it almost everyday and the charge lasted almost a month for me

This is probably the best portable Bluetooth speaker that I currently own. Sony did a lot of things right here. The reason to me this is a keeper, is the sturdy construction, and battery life. First things noticed upon unboxing is that this is a speaker that is going to last for years. You can tell it’s built to take a beating and keep on playing. Made sturdy with a strong strap attached for hanging, and carrying. The paperwork that came with it mentioned that it passed the drop test from 4’ high onto 2” thick plywood. This little guy also boasts an IP rating of IP67. This refers to the ingress protection of the speaker, which means the level of protection from solid particles entering the speaker housing, as well as water spray . The higher the IP #, the better protection offered. You can look up the specifics regarding the rating numbers and IP ratings online, it's easy to find. There’s a lot involved so I’ll spare you from me acting like an expert on ingress protection, but I will tell you is that I used to work for a company that purchased electric DC motors from China that went on commercial mobile equipment, and those motors had much lower IP ratings than this little speaker. In other words, well done Sony! I imagine it makes this a great option for people that work outside, like construction workers and such. None of this however, means you can just willie nillie throw it in the pool, or in a body of water and expect it to keep working. Enough about the structure and protection, let’s talk about battery life. Right out of the box it had 1 orange light lit when plugged in. I plugged it into an outlet and checked it every 10 minutes for the sake of reviewing. In approx. 1 hour and 20 minutes, it was fully charged. I’ve charged it a couple times since and it takes about 2 hours now to fully charge after taking it down to low. Not bad at all! Recently, I have been working from home for 1 week due to contracting covid. I listen to music on this speaker all day and after 6+ hours of constant use, when I pressed the button on the unit to check the battery life, it was still at 80%. The marketing for this speaker boasts a listening experience all day, and it was NOT kidding. The Bluetooth pairing was super-fast and effortless. Works with both iOS and Android. The phone answering function and call quality with people on the other line, was perfect quality and worked great. I used it for multiple phone calls throughout the day for work. The Bluetooth range is approx. 30m (98ft) range. Never disconnected from my phone once during the day, and I live in a tri-level. The sound is not the best, and not the worst for a Bluetooth speaker of this size that I’ve owned. I will say for sure that hanging it by the strap during playback, or laying it on its side horizontal orientation, with the buttons facing up, is the best sound quality I get. Standing it up straight works also, with the control buttons vertical, but it seriously lacks in dispersing the sound, and in sound quality in this orientation. All in all, great speaker that I expect will last for many years to come, even if my kids borrow it and take it on excursions with their friends! (lost many a good speaker that way lol)

This speaker is perfect for just about anywhere. Crystal clear sound and mega bass booster. It is lightweight which makes it easy to take with you places. Waterproof feature make it great for the both the pool and the beach! Battery seems to last a very long time. We used it all long for a baseball tournament and did not need to charge it!

The Sony XE 200 is a awesome speaker. I bought it for my trip to the Caribbean. I love the fact it has a string attached to the speaker it is very convenient. I had it hooked on a tree and was playing music at 80% while I was in the water. To my surprise I could hear from 350 feet away or more while I was at the beach taking a swim. Me and my family was there for several hours and I still had plenty of battery life left when we got back to our condo. The sound was solid, and well balanced, and at no point the speaker felt like was it was struggling. I would definitely recommend this product.

Lightweight, feels well built, may need a little adjusting with the sound on the app but I prefer it because it allows me to tune to speaker to my preference. Water resistant, great to keep in the shower. Amazing battery life. Another great Sony product!!!

Recived as a Xmas present from the wife, out of the box looks great plugged in with included charger and cord . Looks awesome with the lights on each end pulsing to the music. Included apps to change light settings and sounds while playing your favorite tunes was a Plus also being able to add people (party mode) and play soongs from there phone/ playlist was a pretty cool function ast we’ll . Bluetooth also lets you talk over speaker while doing tasks in the yard should you get a phone call , you can add a microphone for Karaoke , pretty cool feature.. cloth exterior, nice touch easy to clean. A full charge last me for days , even at a new years party playing at 4+ hours with lights. All in all A+ from this 80’s DJ

For $140 on sale this speaker is a steal. I work in a kitchen and was going to replace my Sony XB33 due to battery not holding a charge but this connects through the app and I now use both speakers for a surround sound feel in the kitchen. Sound quality is great, bass is the same as in store, battery life is 10hrs+, and has yet to disappoint. Would recommend over the JBL equivalent when on said sale.

I bought the XG300 to use around our pool without a lot of worry about splashes. And it quickly has become the favorite grab and go speaker in my house. At first listen we were disappointedat the base, but the speaker was sitting in a padded couch arm. As soon as we set it on a hard surface, it was a game changer. This is not going to have the same big sound as the XP500 or XV900 or an XB7, but it's still a full rich sound with great battery life, and enough volume for outdoor listening. We've had it at the lake, on a boat, and at our pool and the water had had no effect so far. I like that multiple people can be connected to it at once.

The SRS-XG300 X-Series Wireless Portable-Bluetooth Party-Speaker is a good speaker, but not a great one. The RGB lights are nice. Sony's XG300 does sound good, but it seems to be lacking the bass I thought that a $350 Bluetooth Speaker from Sony would have more depth to its sound. The highs and mids sound great. There is no distortion that I've heard. There is a Mega Bass button, but I an not a fan of it. When used, the bass does cutout and everything is brightened up. The Sony Music app lets you control a lot. EQ, RGB lights, the functionality of the Mega Bass button itself, and more. I am not disappointed per say, just shocked that the bass in this speaker is only mediocre. Comparing it to some other notable Bluetooth speakers in the same price range or less, the Sony XG300 doesn't add up for me. If the price were around $250 I could see the value. Out of the box, the speaker sounds muffled. I had to adjust the EQ to enjoy the speaker. It does have volume though. I took it to the pool, and was able to hear it clearly from every angle. I was happy about that.

Wasnt sure what to expect but this speaker delivers! Sound is amazing and fills a room very easily! I personally work constructiin and bring this with me and it is clear over the nkise of nail guns and other loud noises! It also stays charged for quite a while considering the output!

Great sound. I’ve used it for professional purposes like a presentation in a large conference/ballroom as well as personal use indoors/outdoors. Volume has never been a problem. Probably most impressed with how well the battery holds a charge. It’s still running off its first charge which was more than a month ago (infrequent use). Very easy to connect to via Bluetooth. And the size is perfect. The lights are an added bonus.

This is an amazing wireless speaker. It is a little bigger than expected. The sound quality and bass battery life is excellent. Don’t hesitate to purchase.

Pretty dang good speaker. Of all of the many portable speakers that I have owned, I would say the XG300 is my favorite. The sound quality is awesome and despite it's somewhat big size, it is actually pretty portable. The connectivity is great too and of course this speaker can get LOUD. I recommend this speaker to a lot of people.

You can always find a speaker that looks similar on Amazon or elsewhere often as a brand you have never heard of. This Sony speaker shows the difference between them and premium sound. Speaker has incredible bass and clarity for being a portable device. I have not cranked the volume up to the max as I have not needed to - it can easily be enjoyed playing in a room and heard throughout the house. I was able to buy mine on sale for $150 which was a bargain for the quality and enjoymentment of the sound. I cannot wait for summertime to bring this along with me next to the pool or on the beach

Sound is crisp, and bass is real good! Its pretty portable and water resistant. Also use it for outdoor sound using a projector and it works wonders.

I have had more speakers than I can count. I was in the market for a new one recently and had no clue where to start. After several YouTube videos and talking with some employees I landed on this one and I couldn’t be more thankful. The battery life is incredible and the bass is unreal for its size. It’s super convenient to travel with due to the built in collapsible handle. You can charge your phone, turn off the bass mode, and link to another speaker. This is the best speaker I have ever owned and would buy it time and time again.

This speaker has crystal clear sound with no distortion at the higher end, the only reason for the 4 Star rating is that the unit doesn't seem to reach higher volumes like other units, say like a JBL. Battery life is great, I've only charged it maybe 3 times in the span of a month with moderate use. There an optional app for the device that allows you to adjust the bass, treble and mids as well other options such as pairing with multiple speakers. All in all a solid unit even with the shortfall on the max volume.

I love this speaker. I cannot travel without it. I have used this on vacations at the beach or in resorts. I can also pair with my brother's speakers (also Sony), so when we have a big gathering. Overall, I will give this a 5-star rating. The battery life is like forever.

Great product with excellent clarity and bass. Ease of use top notch. Could be louder.

Pros: Easy to use Cool Lighting Effects Sound Level (Loudness) is mid tier Can pair with a 2nd speaker for stereo Can also pair with multiple 3rd party speakers for "party mode" Can charge a phone while listening. (All these features make it great for the beach!) Cons: 2nd device pairing fails sometimes speakers are not loud enough for large outdoor spaces. (Perfect for indoors though if you want it loud) no way to control your songs from the device itself.
