Great backyard speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very surprised by this speaker. The design is sleek and modern. I like that it doesn't stand out as an eye sore and just blends in. Especially since it's water and dust resistant. It's easy and comfortable to carry. I used it in my backyard and it filled the area with music. The battery life is excellent and I like that I can charge my devices from it if needed. The fast charge is also an appreciated feature since I can just give it a quick bump on the charger and get a chunk of playtime. The Mega Bass takes the sound to the next level. I cranked the volume to max and didn't get any kind of distortion. I wasn't very impressed with the lights. They aren't very bright and aren't in a good place. If it's next to a wall you can kind of get an ambient effect but since it's pushed as a party enhancer it wasn't very visible to the party. The Fiestable app with DJ mode and lighting just felt gimmicky. I didn't see a feasible use for those things other than being bored and playing around. Overall I do enjoy this speaker and would recommend it. I don't need a light show so the short comings there don't bother me. I think it would feel right at home in a small apartment, backyard BBQ, garage, or beach.

We tried this for baseball but you can barely hear it. Volume all the way up. Tried different music platforms and the batter can barely hear the music within 20 ft.

By downloading the Sony Music Center app, you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune the speaker using the built-in EQ and maximize the volume to ensure optimal listening experience. To get the most out of the volume, turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission. We regret to hear that you were not satisfied with the speaker. Your feedback is extremely important to us and is very much appreciated. For optimum performance, it is recommended to install the latest software version of the speaker (via the Sony Music Center app). It is also recommended to charge the built-in battery sufficiently. The sound may become low in the following cases. This is not a malfunction.
-While the speaker is running on power from the rechargeable built-in battery, the sound may become low in the event that the rechargeable built-in battery is running out of power and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction.
-When the ambient temperature of the speaker is high.
Additionally, you have the option to adjust the sound effects and equalizer function of the speaker to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs. You can also use the Party Connect function and Stereo Pair function to enjoy a more powerful sound.
