Make sure to charge the built-in battery sufficiently. The sound may become low in the following cases. This is not a malfunction.

-While the speaker is running on power from the rechargeable built-in battery, the sound may become low in the event that the rechargeable built-in battery is running out of power and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction.
-When the ambient temperature of the speaker is high.

We appreciate your 5-star review of the XG300. It's unfortunate that you had to return the speaker. The TV must support the A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) Bluetooth profile to pair and connect Bluetooth speakers. Please check the specifications of the TV.

You may connect devices such as smartphones, TVs, computers, etc. to the AUDIO IN jack (AUX) with an audio cable (commercially available).

Hi User836741, thanks for sharing your experience with the Sony - XG300 Portable Speaker. We are genuinely sorry to hear that it has not performed as you expected. We do have some useful recommendations we'd like to share, if what you're looking for is to enhance the sound quality.
1- Download the Sony Music Center app and adjust the Sound quality settings and the Equalizer to your preference
2- Switch the Bluetooth connection to Priority on Sound Quality
3- Press the MEGA BASS button on the speaker for a real enhanced bass effect
4- Turn on the Live Sound Effect within the Sony Music Center app, you can go to Settings > Sound > Sound effect > Live Sound
