This one did not disappoint! An updated version of earlier large speakers, they hit all of the missing pieces of the last one. This speaker has a battery! It's truly portable unlike previous models. It holds about a 20 hour charge. I prefer not to use the lights so I was able to get the 20 hours out of it. It also says its waterproof but I did not test that It was fairly easy to connect my phone to this speaker. You can connect via Bluetooth or by a USB cable. The speaker works with the Music Center app to control lighting and sound. I'm a plain jane when it comes to the lighting. I prefer to keep it off but there is a very wide variety of lighting options available for this speaker. There are hookups in the back to use the speaker as a guitar amp or for karaoke but I did not test these features. The sound quality blows me away though. Such a great full bodied sound, it's just what I had expected from Sony. Sony products have unbelievable bass which is why I keep going back to them. If you want a great, well rounded, large portable speaker... this is it!
