We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble pairing your two SRS-XP700 speakers, Jrcmr. We understand how frustrating this can be, and this is not the experience we want you to have. The SRS-XP700 features a "Party Connect" function that allows you to connect up to 100 compatible speakers, so we are confident we can get yours working together.

To get started, here are a few steps that often resolve pairing issues:

Ensure Both Speakers Are Updated: Please make sure that both of your speakers have the latest firmware version. You can check for updates using the Sony | Music Center app.

Use the PARTY CONNECT Button: On each speaker, there is a PARTY CONNECT button. Press this button on both speakers to initiate the connection. The indicators on the speakers will flash as they search for each other.

Keep the Speakers Close: For the initial pairing, it is best to place the two speakers within 1 meter (about 3.2 feet) of each other.

Try the Sony | Music Center App: The app provides a guided process for pairing speakers using the "Party Connect" function, which can make the process simpler.

Thanks for the 4-star rating! We're glad you like our product. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. While the speaker is running on power from the rechargeable built-in battery, the sound may become low in the event that the rechargeable built-in battery is running out of power and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction.
If the sound becomes low while in use, follow the procedure below.
- Turn off the speaker.
- Charge the built-in battery sufficiently.

Please note: The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet. Hope this helps!
