The XP700 is made up of several speakers, including a front and rear High-efficiency Tweeter and an X-Balanced Speaker Unit, to give you an Omnidirectional Party Sound with a punchy and deep bass and plenty of clarity. Please note: The volume will become low when the maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet.
Also, to ensure optimal listening experience, please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools like an equalizer to fine-tune your speaker and maximize the volume to your liking.
