Hi Mslanae, Thank you for the positive review! While we're glad you like the Bluetooth range of your Sony XP500, we regret to hear that the volume level did not live up to your expectations. The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet.
To ensure optimal listening experience, please download the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools like an equalizer to fine-tune your speaker and maximize the volume to your liking. The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction.
To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet.
Turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device.
Check that the connected device is playing.
