• The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction.
To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet.
• Turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device.
• Check that the connected device is playing.
• Charge the built-in battery sufficiently.

By downloading the Sony Music Center app, you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune the speaker using the built-in EQ and maximize the volume to ensure optimal listening experience. The SRSXG500 is loud, but is really intended for a smaller than gym area. It is also more focused on good sound quality. Please remember you can pair up to 100 of them to get more loud volume.
