To get the most out of the SRSXP-500 volume, make sure that the speaker is charged sufficiently. The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet and turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device.
