At the the time it was beyond impressive. But, the one I bought sounds way different. I am very disappointed. I wish I could get my money back. Oh my lord this is the worst speaker ever. It is purely garbage I am not recommend anyone to purchase it.

You can also enjoy switching the sound effects on the speaker. To enjoy more dynamic sound (MEGA BASS effect), you can set the sound effect to MEGA BASS mode by taking either of the following procedures.
• On “Sony | Music Center,” tap [SRS-XP700] or [SRS-XP500] - [Settings] - [Sound] - [Sound Effect] - [MEGA BASS].
• Press the MEGA BASS button on the speaker.
Each time you press the button, the sound effect setting to MEGA BASS mode is switched on/off.

Lights are built behind the handles. They react to whatever beat you are listening to and has multiple patterns. Was easy to connect to bluetooth. It is a little on the heavy side but solid. I don't have a mic or guitar so can't comment on that.

Sony's SRS-XP500 Portable Wireless Speaker checks off all the boxes. Amazing sound with Mega Bass that will rattle your bones. The SRS-SP500 is water resistant, can be used as a karoke machine or guitar amp using plug inputs in the rear of the speaker. The unit will play for up to 20 hours on a full charge keeping the party going well into the night! The speaker comes with a plug-in cable for use plugged in or to charge the battery. The speaker can be used upright or on its side with rubber bumpers to protect it.
