To max out the performance of any speaker you must use hi fi quality tracks….playing music from youtube videos lacks quality and wont let you hear the crisp of the music. Try using tidal or subscribe to your music app service and play with hi def tracks youll fall in love with this speaker.

It is pretty loud and the features are nice, like the lights and the app that you download so you can connect it to the speaker. Price was good not crazy expensive. I recommend it for anyone looking for a nice speaker.

Almost lol. But I can imagine using this for a party or something else. It will get loud enough for your needs. USB port for charging on the back. Slot for phone on the front. Sony comes through with a good one this time.

Poor when unplugged

Its got good sound quality if i use certain apps. For example using it with the stock phone music player, the sound is not very loud. However when i use it with my third party app called Poweramp, the sound is just crazy. When it comes to loudness, the sound is average if the speaker is not plugged in. When you plug it in is when you feel ground shaking bass and loudness. So it is basically somethin I like to use where there is power connection, if none, you will be left yearning for more. Now to the battery life, the manufacturer states 20 hours of playback with certain parameters. However in my experience, the speaker is really poor with battery, and you will be lucky to squeeze five hours from it if it is unplugged. And that is if I am listening to it with lights off, average volume and no megabass. In summary I feel disappointed in it especially with battery life.

If you haven't yet, please download the Sony | Music Center” app where you can change the sound quality setting and equalizer adjustment for best sound experience. For low sound, the maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction.
To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet.
With regard the built-in battery life, actual performance time may vary from the music source. volume, songs played, surrounding temperature, and usage conditions. You may check these links below with solutions to fix issues with the speaker.
