Bluetooth pairing is easy and it feels durable enough to move around without worry. I liked the “party” feel—music sounds big and energetic. The downside is that it’s large, so it’s not something you casually carry everywhere.

We listened to the JBL speakers and they both had a tinny sound to them. Get this Sony XP500 instead. It has a button you can press for more bass which I like to use. It can connect to other sound devices also but I believe that the JBL's can do that also.

Amazing quality and sound, lights are so cool

I found this model on sale almost half off. It has such powerful sound with mega bass, no distortion and the lights are amazing. I own sonos and dr dre beats and this speaker is just as good

It's on the expensive side for me but It was not as expensive as other alternative in its range. It has 2 xlr inputs for Mics which is great and it's splash proof which makes it great to take on the road. Also if you have the budget you can buy a pair or more to link them and expand music throughout your home or party.

I haven’t took it anywhere that I need to unplug it so cant test the battery life but overall its a great speaker. The guy at best buy said it cant connect to a Tv he didn’t know what he was talking about. Any smart tv with Bluetooth can connect to this speaker just go to the settings and pair it like you would a phone.

It's a really loud even considering that you could still get bigger sizes, but this guitar needs for camping. We used it for a wedding venue that lit up the entire area with noise. Great base response as well

Fits my needs perfectly!

I love the Party Connect but there are glitches that work out once the updates are complete. I do not like the fact that it loses power when unplugged. I would like for the app to be able to power the speaker on. It already powers it off. All in all, I am a lifelong Sony fan and will continue to purchase and enjoy their products! It would have been 5* if it didn't lose power when unplugged. I would recommend this speaker 100%.

This is usually not the case for our SRSXP500 nor the experience we want you to have. The speaker is capable of running on power either from an AC outlet connected by the supplied AC power cord (mains lead) or from the rechargeable built-in lithium-ion battery. When using the speaker on battery, be sure to fully charge the built-in battery. If the built-in battery is fully charged when you connect the speaker to an AC outlet, the CHARGE indicator lights up in orange then turns off after about 1 minute.
*Charging will complete in about 3 hours* and the indicator will turn off.
If the speaker turns off right after you unplugged the supplied AC power cord (mains lead) even after you sufficiently charge the unit, service may be required. For further assistance, please email us at socialsupport@am.sony.com with the following details:

Party time

Sony has it's own app. It's cool that you can connect multiple spreakers. The only thing with that, it's a little bit hard because if you forget to press on party connect button that speaker takes over instead which you have to restart. Another thing when you're trying to connect all speakers have to be one arm length.

Amazing Bass!

It has two microphones jacks and the bass is outstanding. The only reason I took a star off is it isn’t that loud. The louder it is the less you hear the bass. But this will def get the house party going if you need something portable! I would still recommend it to someone.

We're sorry to hear if the sound volume is not too loud for you and that it compromise the bass when it gets louder. The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction.

We used this speaker indoors the majority of the time and we never had to push the volume past halfway. I would recommend it for parties or get togethers.
