Satisfied customer BUT the only negative part is..

I have also connected it to her Smart TV.. I like it! So shed been partyin' it up. The only negative part is that its louder if its plugged in. Currently we testing it for a bit..

That's part of the normal operation of the speaker since the speaker is capable of running on power either from an AC outlet connected by the supplied AC power cord. Good, but not the XV-500

I own two XV-800 which has far more features including echo control. I purchased this thinking it would’ve been the same, but got the incorrect model. I should’ve done my homework and got the XV-500.

needs higher Volume

When you plug it in its pretty loud but running on the battery if is definitely a lot lower. It works well with Bluetooth, but I have another speaker, different SONY model speaker that I can't connect it too. I like the speaker lot but if you are trying to connect to other speakers, make sure it is compatible

The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. To ensure optimal listening experience, please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools like an equalizer to fine-tune your SRSXP500 and maximize the volume to your liking.
With regards to connecting to other Sony speaker, below are the only devices compatible with the Party Connect function:
SRS-XB43, SRS-XB33, SRS-XB23, SRS-XG500, SRS-XP500, SRS-XP700
Note: You can connect multiple devices wirelessly (up to 100 devices) compatible with the Party Connect function.

Clear sound Loud good alternative to the JBL 310

I grabbed this one instead cause I have always been a Sony guy. When I first listened to it I was kinda like meh. I like hip hop and this doesn’t have rumbling low base but it does have good punch base. I was considering returning it till one day I let my spouse put her music on one day. She listens to 80s soft rock. She started playing Journey and the sounds of the instruments and vocals were so clear and crisp that I was stunned. That moment won it over for me. This is a house speaker that can be taken places. I move it all over the house back yard while doing house work it moves all around with me and keeps my phone charged too. The lights are nice not too flashy nice and smooth. Also this thing plays low volume very well. I feel like you can put it on a low volume walk away and still here it really good. Also the speaker on the back works really well.

Christmas Present with Power

She used my brother-in-laws this summer when we visited and loved it. The "light went on" and I knew what she'd like for Christmas. Powerful and nice for entertaining. Easy to order and have shipped to our home. Just have to keep it hidden until the 25th!

All you need is your cell phone then the magic happens. You can control the volume from the phone, change music selections, answer calls, etc. This is a must have to entertain yourself & others . Louder than expected
