The sound output is phenomenal especially if you have it plugged in while in use. I like the long battery life that Sony provides this speaker. The light effects are cool as well.

To ensure optimal listening experience, install the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools like an equalizer to fine-tune your speaker and maximize the audio to your liking. One of the best fathers day gifts

I am not disappointed. The one inch tweeter in the top rear is a plus. I don't use the mega bass. For me it's just not necessary. The sound quality is way much better than the previous models. I've only used it on my deck and my neighbors can't believe how loud and clear the sound is. I haven't used the app yet. I really like the new design.

I got this speaker to pair with it but unfortunately this speaker isn’t compatible with party chain. I do like that this speaker doesn’t need to be plugged in to use but it’s definitely not as loud as the XB72 model

Posted .Hi ColetteW, We are sorry to hear that the SRSXP500 did not meet all of your expectations. If the sound becomes low while it is in use, please try these steps. While the speaker is running on power from the rechargeable built-in battery, the sound may become low in the event that the rechargeable built-in battery is running out of power and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction.
If the sound becomes low while in use, follow the procedure below.
Turn off the speaker and charge the built-in battery sufficiently.

Great for party’s or home sound
