To ensure optimal listening experience, please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune your SRSXP700 and maximize the volume to your liking. There is even an EQ. For now, let's try to isolate and resolve this issue by follow the troubleshooting steps below:

-Turn the MIC level knob or the MIC and GUITAR level knob to adjust the microphone volume.
-Make sure that the microphone is turned on.
-Make sure that no USB device is not connected.
-Charge the built-in battery sufficiently.

You can also enoy wireless playback using multiple speakers with Party Connect function. Unfortunately, the XB72 model and products compatible with the Wireless Party Chain function are not applicable for connection.
Devices* compatible with the Party Connect function are as follows:
SRS-XB43, SRS-XB33, SRS-XB23, SRS-XG500, SRS-XP500, SRS-XP700

For low bass sound quality, this usually differs from the source device's signal and content that you are playing. Please note: The BLUETOOTH feature of this speaker operates within a range of about 30 m (about 98 ft).

Below are the following conditions why the Bluetooth range shorten. Please make sure to avoid these to ensure optimal Bluetooth range.

There is an obstacle such as a person, metal, or wall between the speaker and BLUETOOTH device.
A wireless LAN device is in use near the speaker.
A microwave oven is in use near the speaker.
A device that generates electromagnetic radiation is in use near the speaker.

We're sorry you've been running into difficulty. The SRS-XP700 will work with most any Bluetooth device. The XP700 is designed to pair with devices that support A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) Bluetooth profile.
