It is a Christmas gift , but my Grandson already got one two Christmases ago & it carries a full range of sound . The bass is very low , but solid , so it does not go into subwoffer effects & it carries a high end frequency response across the board to at least 20 Khertz . He wanted another on because they can be connected wirelessly together & made to be stereo with an APP .They are water resistant as my Grandson placed his in the bathtub to amplify the sound & after playing it , forgot it was there behind the curtain & mistakenly turned the shower on it , and then had to dry it out , and it still plays perfectly . I think you can connect 100 of these together !! He loves it & will soon have another.

Everyone loved the sound it put out and the lights blinking to the beat looked great outside! The battery lasted the whole 5 hour party and beyond.

It has so far paired with every device I've connected. The power supply is inside the unit, therefore the power cord is a standard-disconnect 110v at the back of the cabinet; It can also be hidden inside a recessed track on the speaker's back for convenience when ready to charge. The charge has lasted for hours...no major problem. And the lights option is very classy and interesting in its sequences. If I had an electric guitar I can imagine how well it would interface with this speaker. DEFINITELY one of the best purchases I've made.

I have owned a prior model for more than four years, and while it is a terrific unit, it is neither rechargeable, nor as wide, ranging in dynamic sound quality. This unit is Heavier, but you can tell where that weight goes by the richness of the base. The app is very intuitive and allows for changes in the sound quality, the light show, and various other features. This is a very rich sounding, visually, entertaining, and versatile speaker unit. It is Well worth the price.

My daughter needed a speaker for Taekwondo Tournaments and this absolutely did what we needed. The sound was great, the beat is solid and the battery holds a charge for a quite a few days. The only downside to this speaker is that it doesn't have any wheels to help with travel so it does get bulky when carrying all your gear. Other than that, I would recommend this speaker!

I tried JBL and I kept getting a connection issue when I had more than 1 device paired with the speaker. This Sony XP 509 doesn’t give me any connectivity issues which great. I can pick up a device and start playing music. Sound is great, clear and loud when plugged in. When I’m portable (battery mode) the sounds does noticeably lower to conserve battery life. The lighting is impressive and can be controlled by the Sony App. Mega bass hits well, the is a convenient on/off button. My XP 500 is usually plugged in, I would recommend this speaker.

Incredible Karaoke Speaker!

I used this speaker daily for music or podcasts while doing house work, and I feel it has a great balanced sound. The Bass Boost mode also makes rap or other genres more enjoyable by kicking up the low end. For karaoke, we've used this speaker at two separate parties now, and it has performed beyond expectations! Everyone was blown away at how good the sound was. At this price point, you can't beat what you're getting!
