Great sound, but 1 gripe....

Glad that it has water resistance, had a few sprinkles during an outdoor party, and didn't have to worry! One gripe, and I haven't read this in any other reviews that I've read anywhere: I have 2 and I pair them in stereo. If you use any other method of input other than bluetooth (usb, audio input, etc) they will UNPAIR. You can't run them in stereo with any other input than bluetooth. I was hoping to use a usb with mp3's on it to not have to worry about a connection dropping out, but they won't do this in stereo... be nice if Sony would fix this with a firmware update?

Please note that while the speaker is in USB mode or in AUDIO IN mode, you cannot use the Stereo Pair function. Connecting a USB device or an audio device, such as portable audio device, to the PLAY/CHARGE port (USB1) or to the AUDIO IN jack on the speaker automatically places the speaker into USB mode or into AUDIO IN mode and turns off the Stereo Pair function. I have had dozens of bluetooth speakers over the years and this one is the cream of the crop, hands down! Even at 50% volume this speaker is LOUD. Even though this bad boy is so loud the sound quality is on point as well! Crisp highs, and clean lows as well! So this setup is a little expensive but trust me it is totally worth it! Indoor, outdoor, wherever you use it this will not disappoint!

This speaker fits the bill! It’s portable and loud! The product easily allows you to connect your smart device or phone for those jams you are looking to hear. The bass is on another level! Seriously it was shaking my house! You use the Sony app and everything seamlessly connects. I didn’t experience any Bluetooth issues. I was able to even hook it up to the peleton bike which made the workouts even more fun! The. Add in the cool lights and it was a party! I highly recommend this speaker!

SRSXP700 is water resistant
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The sound on the unit is excellent, srsxp700 got wet accidentally when the water hose leaked and sprayed water to the boom box, I just turn the water off, turn the unit off, after a day I turn it on and it fired up and the music still remains as good as new.

The speaker, with the cap closed securely, has a water resistant specification of IPX4 as specified in “Degree of protection against splashing water” of the IEC60529 “Ingress Protection Rating (IP Code).” However, the speaker is not completely waterproof. To max out the performance of any speaker you must use hi fi quality tracks….playing music from youtube videos lacks quality and wont let you hear the crisp of the music. Try using tidal or subscribe to your music app service and play with hi def tracks youll fall in love with this speaker.

The lights and app are a great additional features as well. Overall, I would recommend this speaker to anyone looking to own the aux at a party. One note this speaker is on the heavier side, so moving can sometimes be challenging, shouldn't stop you from buying.

It is pretty loud and the features are nice, like the lights and the app that you download so you can connect it to the speaker. Price was good not crazy expensive. Wow Big Sound

Lights are built behind the handles. They react to whatever beat you are listening to and has multiple patterns. Was easy to connect to bluetooth. It is a little on the heavy side but solid. I don't have a mic or guitar so can't comment on that.
