Good speaker overall

Some noticeable distortion at higher volumes (this could also be an effect of the bluetooth transfer). Final: Good speaker overall, good value for the money.

I need a party/house speaker a litter louder with bass. Also I did not want the speaker volume to be control with phone/T.V volume control. Other than that sound pretty good.

Posted .Hi Sharmila, Thank you for the feedback on your experience with your SRSXP500. Unfortunately, Bluetooth microphones are not compatible with this speaker. However, you can use a wireless mic. It just needs to be able to connect with 1/4” standard mic input. To ensure optimal listening experience, try to downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune your SRSXP500 and maximize the volume to your liking. There is even an EQ. The XP500 combines superb sound with plenty of party features to make it a fun and versatile speaker. With Powerful Party Sound by the X-Balanced Speaker Unit and the front high-efficiency tweeter, it sends out rich, clear, and high-quality sound. Compared to others in it's price range, this one really blew the others out of the water. It sounds crisp and the bass is deep and full, but not to the point that all you hear is bass. The battery life is good, but not perfect. If being used for something like an all-day cookout or a party, I think it would need to be plugged in before the day is over. I haven't paid enough attention to the battery life to know exactly how many hours it has, and it is not short enough to be an annoyance by any means. I haven't, and honestly probably never will use the karaoke microphone/guitar jack, so I can't comment on the quality of that feature, but it's there. This thing is big and pretty heavy, if stood up like in the picture, it's about 24in tall, 10in wide and 12in deep. The lights are nice, and change colors and patterns along with the music. They aren't too bright or too dim. They could easily be seen in daylight, but aren't so bright that they hurt to look at in the dark. My tip would be to put this thing in a corner with the grille facing out and leave it plugged in if you're going to be using it a lot. The bass will sound even fuller and it won't die on you if left plugged in.
