For low volume level, please try the following:
The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet.
Turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device.
Check that the connected device is playing.

The speaker is capable of running on power either from an AC outlet connected by the supplied AC power cord (mains lead) or from the rechargeable built-in lithium-ion battery.

SRS XP-500 Vs. Partybox 110
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went back and forth a while to determine which speaker to purchase, my friend owns the PB110 and I ended up purchasing this speaker. The sound was overall more crisp from the Partybox, but the bass I felt was stronger from the xp500. WHILE PLUGGED IN, the xp sounds substantially better than if it was left unplugged; it gives off a much stronger bass response and overall a clearer sound. I was able to change the sound through the app and adjusted the mids and highs to bring it in line with the Partybox, I was able to get the sound basically identical, but with the more boomy and louder bass that the xp already had put it #1 for me.

I was walking through BB and someone was playing with display model. I had to stop and watch the kids play with it. I never made it to what I originally came to buy, I grabbed a box and bought it on the spot. Perfect for my 3 car garage. Sounds better than it should. 10/10 would recommend. Will probaly use in my backyard for swimming and BBQ’s too. Just smal and light enough to carry around but big enough for big sound.

Large & In-Charge!!!

I have had dozens of bluetooth speakers over the years and this one is the cream of the crop, hands down! Even at 50% volume this speaker is LOUD. Even though this bad boy is so loud the sound quality is on point as well! Crisp highs, and clean lows as well! So this setup is a little expensive but trust me it is totally worth it! Indoor, outdoor, wherever you use it this will not disappoint!

Glad that it has water resistance, had a few sprinkles during an outdoor party, and didn't have to worry! One gripe, and I haven't read this in any other reviews that I've read anywhere: I have 2 and I pair them in stereo. If you use any other method of input other than bluetooth (usb, audio input, etc) they will UNPAIR. You can't run them in stereo with any other input than bluetooth. I was hoping to use a usb with mp3's on it to not have to worry about a connection dropping out, but they won't do this in stereo... be nice if Sony would fix this with a firmware update?

The Sony App is okay and provides some cool karaoke features. If you intend to use outdoors for a party, you would do well to leverage an amplifier as streaming music via Bluetooth from you phone won’t fill the space outside. Battery life is great and there is plenty of volume for smaller areas or indoors.

Awesome...Great Speaker

The sound quality is amazing. It didn't take very long to charge, the control that the user can have when utilizing it for guitar or microphone is great. The lights are a great feature especially at night, really a great portable speaker. It puts out one heck of a punch for sound, so much so that in the middle of my house you can hear it outside especially the base. I have no complaints thus far about the speaker.

SRSXP700 is water resistant
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The sound on the unit is excellent, srsxp700 got wet accidentally when the water hose leaked and sprayed water to the boom box, I just turn the water off, turn the unit off, after a day I turn it on and it fired up and the music still remains as good as new.

The speaker, with the cap closed securely, has a water resistant specification of IPX4 as specified in “Degree of protection against splashing water” of the IEC60529 “Ingress Protection Rating (IP Code).” However, the speaker is not completely waterproof.
