I tried JBL and I kept getting a connection issue when I had more than 1 device paired with the speaker. This Sony XP 509 doesn’t give me any connectivity issues which great. I can pick up a device and start playing music. Sound is great, clear and loud when plugged in. When I’m portable (battery mode) the sounds does noticeably lower to conserve battery life. The lighting is impressive and can be controlled by the Sony App. Mega bass hits well, the is a convenient on/off button. My XP 500 is usually plugged in, I would recommend this speaker.

Incredible Karaoke Speaker!

I used this speaker daily for music or podcasts while doing house work, and I feel it has a great balanced sound. The Bass Boost mode also makes rap or other genres more enjoyable by kicking up the low end. For karaoke, we've used this speaker at two separate parties now, and it has performed beyond expectations! Everyone was blown away at how good the sound was. At this price point, you can't beat what you're getting!

Does do stereo in both vertical and horizontal. Supports UpTo 2 microphones. It does do aux in as well. Do know though that aux as a source and using a mic does cause interference and for it to pick up radio station. Happened once and it was odd. On another note if the aux in is not the same device that is connected by Bluetooth, almost anything you do on the BT device will take over audio from the aux device. Set it to vibrate or silent to stop this. Back to good stuff, batter last pretty good. No discernable distortion even at high volume, at least songs I listen to anyway.

Compatibility with other sony speakers is amazing and comes in handy will definitley stick to this speaker for a while bass. The bass is not the best still good but could be better when its at max volume other than that nothing really bad with it its a good speaker overall.
