Amazing sounding speaker for parties

The sound is crystal clear and can get as loud as you need for any party or karaoke session. The battery lasts long aswell.

I’ve tried several different Bluetooth speakers including, Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM, Ultimate Ears HYPERBOOM, Bose Soundlink Revolve II, Sony SRS-XG500, Harmon Kardon Studio 7, and Studio 4, JBL Boombox, Samsung Sound Tower MX-T50, and more. The Sony SRS-XP500 tops them all with over sound quality and boom of the bass, which was my criteria when hunting for the perfect Bluetooth speaker. I’m happy to say I finally found the best match. Though I didn’t try out the SRS-XP700, I can imagine that could be slightly better, but for the price range I wanted to stay in, the XP500 fits. Highly recommend!

I decided to go with the sony brand for the party mode option I will be buying more speakers from them. I was unsure if i wanted the 500 or the 700. I was able to hear the 500 at the store and was impressed then there was a sale on the 700 so I got that. The 900 wasn’t water or dust resistant so I didn’t want that. I wasn’t really expecting it to be as big or as heavy as it is but that definitely helps put the sound out.

Great sound profile, workhorse

Also it gets plenty loud, and even louder while plugged in. The woofer exhaust is in the back so putting it up against a wall gets deeper sound. Used for a little under a year now, and it’s been quite heavy usage, but it hasn’t shown wearing. I know it doesn’t specify dust resistance, but I haven’t had issues despite using in pretty dirty places.
