If your TV doesn’t support Bluetooth for speaker but has Headphone audio out (3.5mm/Aux) port then you can utilize a headphone cable (3.5mm/aux). Below are the following conditions why the Bluetooth range shorten. Please make sure to avoid these to ensure optimal Bluetooth range.

There is an obstacle such as a person, metal, or wall between the speaker and BLUETOOTH device.
A wireless LAN device is in use near the speaker.
A microwave oven is in use near the speaker.
A device that generates electromagnetic radiation is in use near the speaker.

Please note: The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet. And to ensure optimal listening experience, please download the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools like an equalizer to fine-tune your speaker and personalize the sound to your liking.
