They work well as a sound source for watching movies outdoors with my projector or simply listening to music while hanging out outdoors. They sound good, but these will not shake your teeth out by any means. They're also not super loud, although loud enough to get you a noise complaint. Regardless of the volume or what you're listening to the speakers are clear and crisp. I'll likely purchase the bigger version as well to tie it all together.

Please note: The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet. Hope this helps!

Very heavy, good sound but needs help!

I tested it thoroughly and found that with the output of my Epson protector (3,5mm), I just could not get it loud enough. That said, I ordered a $20 amp from amazon, which made it just a little bit louder that made all the difference. With the amp, sound is clearer and can get it exactly as needed. The app for this is awful. Sony should be ashamed of themselves for this crap. Also, the speakers all have the same BT name making it next to impossible to isolate for settings. Again shame on Sony. These speakers are SUPER heavy but have a good handle for grips. I have not tried the karaoke function or guitar amp
