VOLUME NOT SO GREAT

I read the reviews, and it sounded like a great buy, but once I brought it home and tried it. It left me wanting for more volume. I caught myself continuously pressing the + buttom and thinking is this all it has to give? I read on some reviews that it has to be plugged in to get the best sound volume and i tried that but it didnt work. I gave it 3 stars because it does have good Bass and it looks and feels like a good quality speaker. I also tried the music app to adjust the volume but it was already as high as it would go. I figured i could probably get the same sound from a smaller more portable speaker. This speaker is also on the heavy side.

The volume will become low when the maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction. To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet. To ensure optimal listening experience, please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools like an equalizer to fine-tune your speaker and maximize the volume to your liking. Gave it 3 Stars because unable to Party Connect with Other Sony Speakers (XV900's) via Laptop. Can only be done with Mobile App. When you disconnect from the Mobile the Party Connect is no longer connected, and the PC version of Sony Music Center doesn't allow. This was confirmed with Sony Customer Service.

Be warned, even though it's the smaller one it's still bog and still heavy... but very nice. The lighting isn't as cheesy as the older models which is nice. Lots of connections on the back for different devices. Wish it had sound over wifi or airplay. Otherwise, great speaker. Will be great for tailgates and other outdoor activities.
