Thank you for your time writing this review. While we are glad that you like the amazing sound quality of the SRS-XP500 speaker, we're sorry to hear if you feel that the sound becomes low while in use.

The maximum sound volume for playing music depends on whether the speaker is running on power from the connected AC outlet or from the rechargeable built-in battery. This, however, does not indicate a malfunction.
To play music louder, connect the speaker to an AC outlet and turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device.
