We also appreciate your specific comment regarding the volume when playing outside. We understand that in an open outdoor environment, sound can dissipate more quickly, making it seem lower.

For maximum outdoor performance, we recommend checking these two things:

Make sure the Mega Bass button is activated. This setting is specifically designed to boost the low-end frequencies, which are often the first to be lost in an open outdoor space, helping the sound feel fuller and more powerful.

The XV500 can be slightly louder and more powerful when plugged into an AC outlet compared to running on its internal battery. If possible, try using it plugged in for your outdoor party to see if this improves the volume level for you.

We're sorry to hear you find the speaker doesn't get very loud. We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. To get the most out of the volume, turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

We would love to share that you can unlock complete control of your speaker by downloading the Sony | Music Center app. This app actually offers much more flexibility than a traditional remote, allowing you to manage your experience directly from your smartphone, including:

-Advanced Audio: Fine-tune your sound quality settings and custom equalizer adjustments.

-Battery Management: Check the built-in battery level and access Power Options like STAMINA mode, Battery Care, and Voice battery level alerts.

--Customization: Toggle the Power On/Off sounds, manage Auto/Bluetooth Standby, and even turn the touch panel backlight on or off to suit your environment.

We hope this app enhances your experience and makes managing your music even more convenient!
