Phenomenal Speaker!

I was soooo wrong about that! First off, if you plan on holding this speaker around from place to place, it's pretty heavy. Even though it has wheels on the bottom, it may be a little hard if you plan on taking it up and down stairs consistently. I love the fact that you can use it for karaoke, because it has a hookup for your microphone. I really love the overall appearance of this speaker and I really love the different colors lights it has! I really like how the lights rotate from the back to the front. If you turn the lights off get a couple drinks with a few friends, it will actually give you that Club feel. I really like the touch screen even though it may get a lot of fingerprints when its being used regularly. To me the touch screen makes it look expensive and high quality made. This is clearly going to replace my last Bluetooth speaker which really wasn't that bad just not this good. I also love the fact that if you take it somewhere, it has a battery just in case there isn't any outlets in the area you're going to be in. I just recently took it with me to a park, and was able to play it for at least 6 hours without being plugged in. I believe the maximum battery life is 25 hours but I'm not sure. Playing music on the speaker is really over the top! Especially the mega Bass! I was amazed at how great the sound was where it wasn't all muffled and distorted when you turn the volume all the way up! I've only used it for about 7 days, and I'm sure as I continue using it, I'm going to find a lot more things I like about it. In just in this short period of time, I realize how much I love this speaker!

This unit does not disappoint in terms of sound quality. Music sounds great on this unit. It's powered by six tweeters around the front, sides and rear, capable of producing rich sounds in all directions. Bass is strong, and vocals sound clear. I had the opportunity to connect this unit to my streaming service to play music via bluetooth and I was impressed. The XV900 also features a TV Sound Booster that raises voice and dialog, which is perfect to pair with a projector and screen for an outdoor movie night. The XV900 comes with up to 25 hours of battery, which allows you to put the unit in the best location without having to worry about running wires or using extension cords. Inputs supported include a standard 3.5mm audio input, bluetooth, optical connection, or USB. And, if you have other compatible Sony speakers, you can sync your music and lights across multiple speakers. About the only drawback on this speaker is the size. It's a beast at about 34" high and weighs about 60 pounds. It does have two wheels making it pretty easy to move around, but I wouldn't exactly say its portable. For the quality of the sound and it's ability to fill a very large space with clear, rich, sound, I will deal with the size. For my primary use cases, I plan to use this in summer months out on my patio around the pool. This will be great when entertaining by the pool or having a barbecue and wanting to keep the party going. And in the evening, this will be a great unit to use for movie night!
