Great quality, beginner friendly

I had no problem figuring out how to use it. Only drawback is it does not have a flash, I ordered an external one.

The pictures seems as if your still there, and the videos are 4k quality. I took the camera on my European trip and everyone raves how the colors makes the pictures come alive. Solid camera for the value

I use this for tutorials on haircuts as well as filming family stuff. The photos come out nice, the quality of video is very clear however if you use continuous shooting, it will start to heat up and the exposure darkens. I’m getting used to it, learning how to manage the overheating, eventually will add a better camera to my arsenal, for now, this does what I need very well.

review of zv-1 camera

My only concern was it overheated too quickly. I was outside early in the am and it was only about 70 degree and I was in the shade and then it said it overheated after 15 min of use. I walked in the house and then turned it on and it worked all within 1 min. So I am not sure why being outside even in the coolest temps makes this camera say its overheating. overall I really like the camera but just this little glitch is a pain but you can just push record again and it starts (at least in my conditions in shade at 70 degrees or lower)

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i am not a pro photographer or videographer but this camera is easy to use. i feel it is perfect for beginners such as myself. i love that you can also snap a shot while filming. it is an amazing picture/video. great for filming detailed things like food. the volume on it is loud. love that you can touch the item you want it to focus on and it would blur the background out so easily and nice looking. i would definitely recommend this product to beginners!

This is good for Youtube or vlogging. My only complete is the internal mic. You are better off purchasing a lapel mic or a shotgun mic. It is easy to use. Easy to download videos and pictures. It fits on a tripod or any other camera accessory. If you want to start a YouTube Channel or take videos and photos but cannot afford a thousand-dollar camera, this works.

I primarily used it for Gaming as a webcam but then wanted to use it outside and I've noticed I purchased a damaged device. Kept shutting off and writing data to memory card wasn't working. I did buy used from BESTBUY and didn't check every part of the camera because the use was for a webcam. But the Camera its self is Top Notch.

The focus is amazing, the videos are clear and the sound is great. I would recommend buying a plug-in microphone if you want a louder sound. Purchase! Essential for educators / bloggers!

Making videos is seamless, they save directly to mp4 so easily uploadable to any platform. Small and lightweight. Used it to make a lot of lectures that required a side by side of my face / profile and keynote/powerpoint. Makes editing simple. If you are using it as a primary audio source, I would definitely buy an external mic. I bought the Rode small one, which really improved the sound quality over this camera's inbuilt mic.

It does not disappoint. I've owned other Sony's in the past and besides the work I just described I can also easily take this on a vacation and have a great camera for both stills and video (I love my iPhone for convenience but it cannot take images like this can).

Battery life could be better but it’s not too bad. Features zoom, face smoothening, stabilization. Really good!

The battery probably last 30min which is a deal breaker for me because each battery cost like 70$. The camera overheats a lot as well, but the resolution is amazing! While we strive to design our cameras to handle different situations, sometimes unexpected issues can arise. As a suggestion you can set the Auto Power Temp settings to High, to prolong the video recording time.
