I like the camera. I wish it was cheaper but I also own a Canon G7X mkii. The main advantage is the mic jack but I also feel the overall video quality is a bit better on this Sony. The build seems better on the canon but I’d still take the a Sony. I actually prefer the screen on top like canons but it has to be to the side on the Sony because of the mic input. I was never a fan of point and shoots costing more than a few hundred dollars but if your in the market for vlogging id say it’s a go. Not perfect but pretty close

Best camera for Vlogging, travel and product reviewing. and it fits in my pocket. I do not like the cell phone quality for pictures and videos and always wanted a hardware that was small and powerful. if you travel a lot then this is a mist have. we have created some amazing memories with this camera

This camera is perfect and very compact so I’m not lugging around a heavy camera. The picture/video quality is great at a decent price point. It can do everything you could possibly need it to do. I’ve had it for 2 years and it’s still performing like the day I got it.

This camera is good for videos and taking pictures

I switched to this from a Canon Rebel SL2 with the kit lens, this is FAR superior in lowlight situations and has a clean HDMI output that allows for autofocus with an elgato cam link, highly recommend for people looking to upgrade streaming camera. However, if you’re going to use it as a webcam, just spend the extra $100-$200 on a camlink as well otherwise your quality won’t be nearly as good as it could be.

I can give it a 4 star review because it is a great camera and all its features work perfectly from the 4k, adjusting settings, easy to use and its does it's job for representing a vloggers camera but, the lens itself when recording is small and you might need to purchase a wider lens to help do so otherwise you really need to extend your arm to capture all of your face or further your camera if your taking a 3rd person shot.

Bought the camera specifically for shooting extended videos to add to my websites and YouTube Channel. Sound quality is excellent using the built-in microphone. However, the 3.5 audio port for audio for adding a Lavelier MIC or wired external MIC is a key feature. Other less expensive cameras do NOT have this feature.

8/10 Great quality in all aspects. Great camera to start vlogging or just to take pictures. Only thing I would change about this camera is that it doesn’t come with flash, but you can always purchase a light separately from Amazon

***PROS:*** 1.) The F/1.8 is great. It's bright. 2.) The zoom is solid. 3.)The size and weight for the specs are light and small. 4.) Sony stabilization is good. 5.) Phase-detect auto focus is excellent. 6.) Screen is quality. ***CONS:*** 1.) Skin tones are inconsistent and specifically come across pink. 2.) Auto ND doesn't work half the time. Manual ND isn't dark enough. 3.) The widest angle isn't wide enough for vlogging (unless you like shaky video). 4. The battery is small. 5.) The battery door is blocked when using a selfie-stick or tripod, so you can't easily swap the battery or change SD card. 6.) The menu system is old and non-touch (as compared to the latest Sony cameras. ***CONCLUSION:*** If you're using this for product/overhead photography from an appropriate distance and are sure to have it charged by external power (or are only taking short videos), you may find it acceptable, but having to unscrew the tripod or camera from the mount is a pain - one which will cause unnecessary wear to the camera and your other equipment.

If you're looking for a good first camera, Sony has got you covered! The camera itself is very light and takes great photos. Besides the memory card, this camera gives you the basic accessories to start using it. The reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the battery lifespan is terrible. If you're deciding to buy this camera, please buy an extra battery for it and a memory card. Also, I noticed that when recording at 4K/30p the camera will get hot and shut down for long extended recording.

Excellent point and shoot camera with great build quality but having to remove it from a grip/tripod ect to access the battery/memory card compartment is a pain. Had to buy a smallrig cage to make the camera better and more user-friendly. Best Buy is an ok place to buy things but I'm getting tired of them. They just don't seem to appreciate good customers like they used to.

My overall rating would be 5 stars, but for one drawback -- there are no lugs for a neck or hand strap. I did a lot of research before ordering this camera, and I reviewed all the available pictures. But somehow I failed to notice this drawback, and I reluctantly returned the camera without using it. My hands have too much arthritis to permit a firm grip, and I can't risk dropping my equipment. BestBuy was terrific about the sale and return, and I DO recommend this product to those who will use it with the tripod.

Excellent ! Bought it for a trip to Europe and turned out to be quite amazing. Everything from clarity color ease of use stills and 4k videos was just great. Very light and compact with it’s very own Sony OS. More zoom would have been welcome.

This is my first camera so I don't really know what realistic expectations should be. It's pretty easy to use, makes great 4k videos and has good sound when pair with an external mic. You'll have to tweak the settings if you want to record for longer than 5 minutes at 4k and the battery life isn't terribly great. I don't wish it had a USB-C connection instead of micro-USB. Overall a good camera and works fine for my Youtube channel.

This is a lot a lot better than your phone cameras for video recording, and I'm talking about top of the line iPhone 12 samsung S20 Ultra. They might look similar under great light conditions, once it gets dark or you are filming inside without great lighting, this will blow all phone cameras out of the water. Great for video recording and entry level Youtube. Major issue is the battery life, had to buy 3 replacement batteries on Amazon, but they were quite cheap, got 3 with a charger for 20 bucks.

This is a powerful little camera. Bought some accessories for it & now I feel like I won’t need another anytime soon. I just started my YouTube journey & did so much research before I bought.
