Perfect Choice!

I wish you could switch out the lens but it truly is the best camera for vlogging/videos especially if you have DSLR cameras like we do, especially considering the price. We would recommend for anyone that wants to record HQ videos. Also, the stand that is advertised for it also comes in handy!

I love that you can close the screen to protect it and love the image/video quality! It’s really missing a flash but that would be the only gripe that I have! Would highly recommend!

Great camera for beginners!

I just received mines today this morning so excited to start using it only reason I haven’t yet is because I need a memory card I didn’t know you had to buy that separately, so with that being said I’ll be buying a memory card and start using my ZV-1 ASAP and updating my review if I can thank you.

Nifty little camera

Great for vlogging and streaming

I also use it for streaming and recording videos with obs. It has a feature to use as a webcam with just usb at 540p but I use it with elgato cam link to get up to 4K output. Picture quality is well worth the price.

I think if your using it for photography and video's (not vlogging) is far superior for the price... The color science is amazing... You have to get to know you camera and definitely play with the setting. Customizing is recommend but out of the box is great too. I would consider myself an intermediate photographer....

Not bad beginner cam if videos aren’t long

Can only record in 4K 60fps for an hour before it turns itself off to protect the camera so you have to work within that time limit. And yes I changed the settings to try to maximize how long it stays on it still has a not too long time window to record. Picks up audio pretty well but a separate mic is still way better.

Best beginner's camera

I have used it for video recording events, and a handful of pictures. The Auto settings are great for beginners, and many adjustable options for intermediate shooters. The flip around screen is a very nice feature. Mic attachment/cover is a bit cheap, but expected from Sony. Otherwise, sound and video quality are sharp!

Crisp 4K quality videos and good photos as well all in a compact frame that fits in your pocket. As you've probably already read, the main downsides are that the lens isn't as wide as other cameras and the battery life isn't ideal. I think these are easy trade offs for everything else you're getting at a great price point.

I bought it for my fiancé because the a6000 series with interchangeable lenses were too much of a hassle for her. constantly switching lenses, but this has worked wonders for her. Point and shoot, internal stabilization, as well as internal nd filter. This is an awesome camera.
