i am not a pro photographer or videographer but this camera is easy to use. i feel it is perfect for beginners such as myself. i love that you can also snap a shot while filming. it is an amazing picture/video. great for filming detailed things like food. the volume on it is loud. love that you can touch the item you want it to focus on and it would blur the background out so easily and nice looking. i would definitely recommend this product to beginners!

Once I got used to the settings and features, I like it a whole lot more. I use this for tutorials on haircuts as well as filming family stuff. The photos come out nice, the quality of video is very clear however if you use continuous shooting, it will start to heat up and the exposure darkens. I’m getting used to it, learning how to manage the overheating, eventually will add a better camera to my arsenal, for now, this does what I need very well.

Really brilliant, game-changing favorite purchase. Making videos is seamless, they save directly to mp4 so easily uploadable to any platform. Small and lightweight. Used it to make a lot of lectures that required a side by side of my face / profile and keynote/powerpoint. Makes editing simple. If you are using it as a primary audio source, I would definitely buy an external mic. I bought the Rode small one, which really improved the sound quality over this camera's inbuilt mic.

If you're looking for a good first camera, Sony has got you covered! The camera itself is very light and takes great photos. Besides the memory card, this camera gives you the basic accessories to start using it. The reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the battery lifespan is terrible. If you're deciding to buy this camera, please buy an extra battery for it and a memory card. Also, I noticed that when recording at 4K/30p the camera will get hot and shut down for long extended recording.

Very portable and takes lovely photos. Nice replacement for my Sony a7ii when I travel :) Very light!

Great camera. Small & portable. Pictures come out great & if you don't want to waste time adjusting the settings you can make it automatic & the pictures come out great. I've had other Sony cameras through the years & they just keep getting better.

Best camera for Vlogging, travel and product reviewing. and it fits in my pocket. I do not like the cell phone quality for pictures and videos and always wanted a hardware that was small and powerful. if you travel a lot then this is a mist have. we have created some amazing memories with this camera

Very good quality camera with clear pictures and videos. The battery lasts about 5 hours and it’s very easy to use

This is a lot a lot better than your phone cameras for video recording, and I'm talking about top of the line iPhone 12 samsung S20 Ultra. They might look similar under great light conditions, once it gets dark or you are filming inside without great lighting, this will blow all phone cameras out of the water. Great for video recording and entry level Youtube. Major issue is the battery life, had to buy 3 replacement batteries on Amazon, but they were quite cheap, got 3 with a charger for 20 bucks.

This camera is perfect and very compact so I’m not lugging around a heavy camera. The picture/video quality is great at a decent price point. It can do everything you could possibly need it to do. I’ve had it for 2 years and it’s still performing like the day I got it.

I love this camera it is great for blogging. The settings on the camera helps me shoot anywhere at anytime. The microphone that comes with the camera surprised me. It is actually clear and the playback videos are loud. The front face camera helps shoot by yourself. The scene selection make it easy to shoot at night with good lighting that can be adjusted. And it’s easy to catch shoots that have moving options.

This is a very good camera with good quality pictures.

Good solid camera. Wish had a flash. I wish there were some in-between cameras between this one and the really cheap, not so good quality, cameras. I won't be using all of it's capabilities.

8/10 Great quality in all aspects. Great camera to start vlogging or just to take pictures. Only thing I would change about this camera is that it doesn’t come with flash, but you can always purchase a light separately from Amazon

Very few excellent cameras fit into your pocket and this is one of them. It has a great lens, focusing and sensor and is TINY, which is fine because I no longer like to carry a larger camera around. Do not be sucked into the tech advancements of full=frame and apsc cameras cameras when you are not a professional or looking to win awards (which you still might with a ZV-!) AND are tired of the flat tiny-sensor iPhone cameras that pollute the world.I am a lifelong amateur (half century of photography) and this one is one favorite.

Yes it's a tad bit tight on the lens and the battery life is a little weak. This wouldn't be such a bad thing if it were for the fact that a tripod will always block the battery door. 4k is useless with battery life being so weak and the EXTRA crop on an already tight frame. I never thought I'd think this but a shoulder strap sure would have been nice for this. Slow motion is kinda useless. I'd just use your phone's slow mo feature. ZV-1 slow mo kills battery and isn't quick enough to be ready for capturing shots spontaneously. The picture tends to overexpose in auto settings and since this is meant for quick run and gun style shooting, that sort of takes away the point of having a pocket shooter like this. The stability is great but the crop is tight. There are third party wide lens attachments that supposedly help but could put stress on the lens motor. There is zooming noise that makes it into the video. I put the negatives up front to focus on the positives now: Great low light. Product showcase mode is phenomenal. Much more useful than I anticipated. The audio is really good and the hot shoe on the top has allowed for me to use a sony shot gun mic. The way to use this camera for run and gun is to use it as a b cam to your phone. Use your phone for daylight and as soon as you go indoor or it get's late, switch the other Sony ZV-1.

Beautiful camera Pictures come out perfectly. Highly recommended
