Exceeded lofty expectations

The video quality has far exceeded our expectations (and they were high to begin with). The on-board audio is also very good. Was going to immediately buy an external mic, and will in the near future, but it is not necessary out of the box for our use. Well done, Sony.

Great Camera!

It's great quality and makes my videos look absolutely amazing. It automatically adjusts the lighting so amateurs like me can record without the footage looking crazy. This is definitely the best camera that I've owned and while the price point is high, it's well worth it.

This is my third Sony camera I have both an a5000 and a6000 and they are great cameras but this is very much one of the best options for content creation. I love the one-touch Bokeh settings and the viewing window is perfect for video work. My only complaint and it's not even a complaint but the internal mic could be a little better but that's very much a small matter also it would be great if it had a USB-C charging port instead of the micro USB but again a small matter. I love this camera and I'm sure you will too if you do a lot of video work.

Perfect For Beginner Content Creation

However, I mainly recommend this for video then for pictures. I'm still testing its limits, but there have been no issues with filming compared to getting shots for pictures. Overall, happy with my purchase.

Great Camera

A little pricy but it is not as bad as it could be. It works as intended and it does it well. My only complaint is the mount placement to the battery. BUT that was fixed on the new ZV-1.

Amazingly capable

Shooting in 4k and crop it in post is what I love about it. Very capable for its size, not to mention the ultra slow motion of 960 fps in slow motion mode.

It's okay but for the price I expected way more

I never spent this much on a camera so I was expecting more. I'm still trying to get use to how everything works. Especially the autofocus features. The zoom is also not as good as I expected.

Best backup camera for Sony A6400

Needs a better zoom in and out

I feel like the zoom of the vlogging camera could extend out more instead of having such a limited range on the zoom. But overall a good camera.

Recording quality is excellent, I mainly use it for creating home videos. They come out very high quality. Sometimes the camera overheats and shuts off but there is an override function for that in the menu.
